I have played the Micro Machines games for years, so I had to check out the new Micro Machines World Series Game! This version has been brought up to date with all the online/leveling up features that you expect from games these days. It features 3 main game modes: Elimination, Race and Battle! Battle features a bunch of game modes within itself. Also not only do you rank up after each game, but you can also unlock new skins, voices, abilities and special abilities! So there is a lot here for a budget game! let me know what you think!

good to see a positive review, think i'd have played a lot more before reviewing though cos I'm getting a lot of issues online on ps4, laughed at the comment about swearing, don't answer to the swearing police personally, teach your kids swearing is wrong and adults sometimes use it to express emotions or get in to bad habits, stop trying to tell everyone what to do, but hey just my opinion, needs a single player campaign and more cars, hopefully free updates not DLC

yeah, you are right I should of played more. I was looking for game like this to play online with a friend of mine and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly. So the score I gave is for the multiplayer aspect. As a single player game I would score it a lot lower. I think the nostalgia got the better of me! I hope they bring out some free updates too. Also it's worth mentioning that when I put the disc in I had to download a 4.2 gig update. When my friend downloaded the whole game from the store it was 4.6 gig!! So I wonder how much of the game was actually on the disc!

Thanks the review, one of the first out there. Does the game have a time trial or practice mode btw?

I can't find a practice or time trail mode. There are Special Events (that come up every day or 2 if you are online), then there is the 3 quick play modes: battle, race and elimination. Once you get to level 10 you can played this modes in ranked play. There is also skirmish mode which is for local multiplayer games. that's seems to be it. I will let you know if i find anymore modes.

Thanks for trying, Codemasters but Toybox Turbos was a lot better than this crap.

whoops! good call! Sorry about that! I will make sure not to do this in future kids game reviews. Although I think this game is just as enjoyable for adults.
