Microalgae is the original SUPER FOOD rich in OMEGA 3, ASTAXANTHIN and more... Fish like salmon feed on these (or feed on smaller fish, which feed on algae/plankton) hence why they too are a great source of these nutrients

Microalgae can be cultivated to have a high protein and oil content, for example, which can be used to produce either biofuels or animal feeds, or both. In addition, microalgal biomass, which is rich in micronutrients, is already used for dietary supplements to advance human health.

Hi Dr. Berg, thanks for such amazing content. Quick question, is it bad if a person never feels hungry or doesn't get hungry until like 8pm at night? I had to move because of COVID so I haven't been able to fully commit to the keto bandwagon just yet so I'm eating an abbreviated SAD diet with some low carb days thrown in. Generally I do not feel hungry most days but I make myself eat because I'm up early and a little past 11pm so usually by 8pm if I have only eaten one regular meal or just a snack I get a slight hunger signal. Should I be concerned? I am a 29 yrs old female and wanted to go keto to get healthy and lose the belly fat. I want to fast but am concerned that maybe I should fast until I'm hungry or that I will not eat enough food once my fasting window ends because I'm just not hungry. Any thoughts? Any one have any thoughts?

I use Spirulina, but I'm looking for a high Vitamin C, healthy, low sugar fruit juice (if it exists) to drink with it. The main reason is to increase my absorption of iron when I take Spirulina, Spatone or eat foods with iron. The second reason is for enjoyment because I avoid tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc because I can't drink them without lots of sugar or "healthy" sugar alternatives. *Edit* : Also I use Spirulina in my smoothies, but I cut the fruit content down to: 10 grapes, the skin of half an apple & half a keto friendly avocado. The rest is veg & I add a lot of Kale for the Vitamin C.

Grapes has a lot of sugar.
@anon9362
@anon9362 3 жыл бұрын
@@dlrx4566 Dlrx I didn't think 10 grapes & the skin of half an apple was a lot. Add to that I don't *eat* any other fruit apart from half avocado, which is Keto. My main issue is apple juice which I'm trying to sort out. Also, I use the large Nutribullet cup & divide the smoothie into two. As I usually have half a cup per day, that's 5 grapes & the skin of a quarter of an apple per day. However, I just looked it up & apparently *5 grapes is still 12g of sugar 😬.* Edit: I originally said 10 grapes here, that was a typo. 10 grapes is supposed to have 5g of sugar. I don't even really like fruit apart from apples & bananas, so I hopefully I'll be able to fit my current smoothie recipe into a low carb or keto lifestyle, because vegetable only smoothies taste terrible.

@@anon9362 is that 12g per grape? I would caution the adding of grapes as I went on a "cleansing diet" a number of years ago and on the diet I had to eat grapes - i gained so much weight in a very short time and my sugar level skyrocketed.. but everone is different. Best fruit when on keto is berries e.g. blueberries.
@anon9362
@anon9362 3 жыл бұрын
@@dlrx4566 No, I meant per 10 grapes, *however* that was a typo! It's actually: - 24g of sugar per 10 grapes - 12g of sugar per 5 grapes. I drink half of my smoothie for one meal & save the rest for another. which is generally the next day.
