This 1956 VW Beetle I received after it spent over 10 years out in the weather after being completely submerged in sea water by Hurricane Ivan back in 2004. This car was almost completely destroyed. If you've followed the ROTTEN OLD 1956 Chop Top Oval VW Beetle series you will have seen just how bad this car was when I began this VW Beetle restoration project. There was no saving it, as it would never be perfect again... so instead I rebuilt it to my own specifications so I could have the VW Beetle the way I wanted since I was a kid.

you are a gentleman and an all round good bloke Glenn. Good job clearing up misunderstandings and making it publicly known. Got a feeling Cool Rydes will be very happy and from the sound of their good service and enthusiasm to make things better will only improve their standing and in the community and gain some loyal customers. Communication is key. I have seldom come across situations where problems cant be resolved reasonably amicably if folks talk to each other. keep it up mate Mark

Glad to see you back! I was almost completely away for like 5 years, too! I jumped back in with both feet in late January. Uploaded about 115ish videos so far this year! Lots more to come! The channel as a result has grown about 60% in subscribers in the past 9 months. It was a mistake ever leaving, I could be much bigger right now, but I am soooooooo glad that you like what I'm doing here! Thanks so much!

Yeah man , I sold my bug almost 3 years ago . Regret right hahahah, good news I just picked up a super beetle tonight . But it’s a flat window so not so bad hahah . I’m glad to be an owner of a vw ! Seeing all these vids you made go out and get one lmao ! Every night routine is watch this series

I missed em ! What can I say 😂 but in a good way . I’m super excited to dig into it . So I when I looked at it . I’m almost 18 years old and I got my first one when I was 13 . The guy thought I was a dummy right , he just told me the new carb he had put on wasn’t installed correctly so I said looks all good ! I went home . Checked spark plugs . Holy shit they were gapped at .18 and one was gapped at .45!!! So I fixed that and did a basic look around I turn it over and man it was retarded. I played around turning the distributor while my brother turned the car over and booom started right up ! And ran actually pretty good

Can u make a video on how to remove heads and studs and how to lap the valve seats? I have a 1600 dual port that the #2 side keeps overheating I've been trouble shooting everything under the sun still no help so I'm about to pull the heads and check valves and valve seats. I think I should try a compression test or leak down test first. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Love the videos and content by the way

This video was created to set the record straight. I can explain a little more about the kafer bar in the future, currently, you can't see it, its under the car! Hehe! I have a Chinese motorcycle it's a United motors dual sport from 2005 and a little wire from under the chan or sprocket cover with 6 pins got pulled out and it no longer has spark do you know what this wire could be

Well, I know it doesn't have anything to do with VWs, lol! But the wire under the sprocket cover is likely to the magneto, or for the neutral light. Depending how the bike is set up, either one can stop you from getting a spark. I'd make sure that you put them back together. If it pulled out of the case you may have to take the side cover off of the engine and reattach it to the coils.

Hey Duckman I bought a stiffy bar for my IRS buggy from cool rides it's. A really nice unit but did you find that it moved your engine and trans rearward by the thickness of the plates that mount to the engine fork? I can't see anyway around it.

Facebook is the forum for now. There are so many other independent forums it would be difficult to get people to create a new account. Been down that road before. People just don't want to do it. To facilitate login to the forum I'd have them use a Facebook account... then they are more likely to sign up... but that still leaves you out! LoL! There's no winning this one!

Mic sound quality is good. I could hear the car because 1) I have good ears. and 2) I have a crankin' Bose system on my comp. The car sounds like it needs transmission fluid. Maybe Power Steering. Definitely something is NOT happy there...

Yeah probably power steering, but it sounds HORRIBLE! And he seems to pass whenever I'm recording which is kinda weird... sometimes even 3-4-5 times in one afternoon! LoL!
