An experiment of time periods. How well Midjourney v6 recognizes ancient cultures by name and what happens if you use their names as prompts? How well are different time periods represented? What does Midjourney think about our future in the coming decades and centuries? Does it differ from the imaginings of Claude and ChatGPT? Join me in this time travel through the eyes of Midjourney.

While I found many good prompts, you didn't need to do every century as they are quite similar and made the video too long to enjoy. Also, the alien prompt was great! Loved the results.

Thanks, I realized that they were similar. But the whole point to include them was to show what they do, warts and all, even if they are similar. Now we all know that they come out looking really similar.

I'm not finished yet! Yes, this is a lengthier excursion than usual, and, no, I am not currently using MidJourney, though it is a superb generative AI art program. But if Thaeyne had not given such an in-depth look at art styles over the years, I would never have pushed my SD merged checkpoints into producing the art that they did. Would an expert look at my Jacobean or Mugdal and positively identify them as such, I don't know. But I am extremely pleased at the results. Call them Jacobean, Mannerism, Southwest Adobe, or Sassafras, they are each unique and beautiful. Hmmm...wonder what Sassafras style would produce? Thanks, Thaeyne.

I love you content and always enjoy your creations. How do you create the opening of the video, with the slightly moving/flickering image?

Thank you, I did that with Kaiber and I used the new Motion 3.0 on a Midjourney image.

Love the video, but this would have been better broken into a series of videos no more than 10 to 15 minutes long each. I appreciate all of the work you have put into making this video, but an hour all at once is too much.

Thank you. I did think about separating the video to smaller parts, when I realized how long this was going to be. But decided to go with one video, because it I liked the idea of going through time from the earliest known civilizations to the unknown future.
