( that's the look they all were going for ) to look stiff, especially because of those lenses as they could only see what's in front of them, On a Show, Peter who plays Rob's dad in the film said that he didn't even realize that he hit Nikkie Reed, as because of lenses he was wearing at that time. Kristen did the role of a vampire for just one movie ( I felt she was brilliant) also she had guidance from everyone else, especially rob who obviously had 4 years experience. Maybe he did lose interest after a while because he always instructed what to do, while he wanted to do his own take on Edward, and also Kristen always said She made Bella more like her, she was allowed to give her own take on Bella. Kristen Stewart is an incredible actress. If you see her in other stuff, you can see that she’s actually got good range and plays dynamic characters well. But when she played Bella, she wasn’t given much of a choice because Bella’s character was completely dry toast. All her lines were boring, and she was clearly given direction to tone it down even when things were supposed to be interesting. Bella was made to be what is essentially a silent protagonist that any teen girl could insert themselves over. There’s a reason her character sucks ass in the original series and has more depth when the story isn’t about her. You no longer have to insert yourself over her, so she’s allowed to have a character now.

Kat S. I like Kristen Stewart, but she certainly has roles she thrives in, dramas, suspense, horror, action, comedy, etc. Not awkward teenage romance. You don’t get that “awkward innocence” when looking at her. The majority of the movie, she looks like she wants to punch someone in the face. I just wish they picked some sweeter, light-hearted person. Kristen has even said in interviews that it was her first “girly” role and she didn’t know how to handle it. I honestly wish they would just remake the movies in the next 20 years and make them less cringy. I don’t think Bella’s character sucks in Twilight. Yeah she was self-deprecating, but you could also see she was smart and witty. She had humorous conversations with quick comebacks with Edward. She was crafty coming up with plans to get away from Charlie when James was coming. I feel like the movies cut out a lot of good stuff from the books to leave in other less important stuff, or they just made weird unnecessary changes to certain scenes. Robert Pattinson was just as harsh and dry. They both just seemed angry throughout the entire series. There were no light-hearted love scenes or sweetness to either of them. But I understand it’s hard to script a book character when 99% of the book is their thoughts.

what was the original plan for the sequel? is it on her website or something? the whole imprinting thing really disgusts me and it's one of my biggest problem with the saga, so I'd love to hear what she originally wanted to write.

@inactive account Unfortunately, the imprinting was always going to happen regardless of whether she wrote New Moon and Eclipse or not. I think when she finished Twilight, she didn't realise that it was going to get published and started writing out a sequel called "Forever Dawn". When she found out that it was serious, she scrapped it and started working on the real sequel New Moon. In Forever Dawn, she skipped most of Bella's high school experience, straight into marriage to basically what is now Breaking Dawn. I believed they changed this to make it more relatable to the target audience. Thing is, since NM and E were never written, Victoria and Laurent are still alive, the werewolves exist but they're sketchily developed and most of them don't have names, and Jacob's feelings for Bella remain at crush level. This means that Jacob imprints on Renesmee a couple of weeks later when he visits Charlie, ultimately saving her from being destroyed by the pack. Jacob basically existed as a plot point, to tell Bella about the Cold Ones, and to imprint Renesmee. That's why I'll always argue against the love triangle. She was basically forced to turn it into one to drag it out across 2 more books. For me, it makes a lot of sense because Twilight through to Eclipse, it's about James/Victoria/Laurent and BD takes a completely different storyline. I've always thought it felt disconnected from the rest of the Saga. To me, NM and E are the books where Jacob talks about how much he would hate imprinting as none of them are themselves anymore. If we took them out, we'd never know that about the character as it doesn't matter; that his is fate regardless.

I agree with you about it making a lot of sense. in my opinion, FD sounds like a better continuation to the story than what we actually got. the imprinting would still have been weird, but having Bella and Jacob, a main character, be in love and kiss multiple times before he ends up imprinting on her baby is a lot more uncomfortable than having a side character who Bella has never had a romantic relationship with imprint on her baby. on top of that, Jacob would never have assaulted Bella and there wouldn't be that awful jealousy/competition between Edward and Jacob. the age gap and the fact that Renesmee is an infant would still be problematic, but there wouldn't be the added baggage of him being a viable love interest to both the mother and the daughter, hating and threatening the father, and having assaulted the mother. Jacob was such a sweet character in Twilight, so if his atrocious character development could have been left out, it would have been a massive improvement just on its own, regardless of all of the Renesmee/Bella/love triangle stuff.

I'd rather see the past and present lives of the remaining Cullens. I can.only take so much of the same damn story from different perspectives

I feel like for the papercut while that is a plausible theory- there’s no way Alice would ever let Jasper react that way knowing it would hurt Bella (both physically cuz stitches and emotionally cuz it would cause them to leave forks) and knowing there would be a possibility that they couldn’t stop Jasper from killing Bella in some other version of the future. I think Alice didn’t foresee what happened cuz in eclipse Bella shows that Alice can’t see snap decisions so Bella getting her papercut was a snap event that just happened and Jasper going at her was an immediate reaction so Alice didn’t see that but then again who knows I’m sure if SM wrote new moon from a different perspective she would screw up that scene horribly.
