Building a Cedar Door Mat from Wood & Rope

5 жыл бұрынFor Christmas, my wife requested a wooden door mat akin to something we had seen available in stores like Crate & Barrel. I was game to make one, so I came up with this door mat made from cedar boards and 1/4 inch rope. It was a simple and elegant build, and thanks to being made from cedar it's naturally weather resistant - perfect for living outdoors.

how well does it clean the shoes?

Better than one might think. This is a mat where you stomp your feet and the gunk falls off between the slats, instead of a mat where you scrape your feet to remove the muck. We' re pleased with it thus far.
