In accordance with the manuals, 8-24 ac voltage must be used, as alternative power supply (instead batteries). From the other hand, polarity and red wire connection to the left external terminal is mentioned. Finally, at the external connectons is able to use ac, dc or whatever we want...?

Just received a V5 doorbell and after trying it for a while I must unfortunately say that I am very disappointed. Battery life is specified from 3 to 4 months without motion sensor activated. My experience is that this hardly lasts 25 days before it has to be recharged. Furthermore, it has poor wifi coverage. Had to move one of my TP-link Deco M9 almost completely near the doorbell for it to have a good enough connection. So this was unfortunately a bad investment. On top of it all, I experience that Eken customer service ignores inquiries regarding this.

Well, I have the exact doorbell from another company called NOCNOQ, but they didn't have the decency to explain it as you have done. Their booklet is so small I have had to get a magnifying glass to read the instructions. Their customer service is the worst in the world. I wish I had seen your product before, I would have certainly purchased it. Thanks for the great unboxing, very precise. I live in the UK, and we say Router pronounced Rooter, so how would you say Route 66? My only quibble?

MARCUS GARVEY I’ve got the NocNoq one too. It took about 3 weeks to arrive (they don’t tell you on the ad that it’s shipped from China). It’s currently sat on my table charging as I charged it for a few hours when I unboxed it a week ago but that obviously wasn’t enough as the battery was low when I finally got around to installing it today. I noticed the LED behind the button seems to flash periodically, I hope that’s because it’s detecting motion and it doesn’t do that constantly.

you said "if you using mobile data it's not that good". That's actually the most important use case. When I leave the house, I'm connected over the mobile data. It depends of the mobile data speed how fast the connection gets established. 4G is quite good, connects within 2-3 seconds. The speed is up to 40 K/s, nearly without picture and sound delay.

Can you still communicate with the doorbell if you are away from home (disconnect from your home wifi and connected on mobile data)? Will the doorbell notify you and can you check the video when someone is outside the door and you are away from home?

Mine looks exactly the same,i got it online it's V5 and uses 3 × 18650 batteries but it's not Eken. Works flawlessly with just under 2mins of setting up and even the app is different than yours. I guess they have different types of the same looking doorbell. 😂

I bought one of these and charged it and used it and then I had to recharge it again. I just got this a week ago. And I had brand new batteries for it. Took inside to recharge the batteries and it would not connect so I unpaired it and tried reconnecting it several times but it won't connect. It says camera ready for pairing and it pairing information received. Then it says setup failed. So I don't know what the problem is. The batteries don't hold a charge for very long. Bought this off an app. Can you make a troubleshooting video?

Great video. You mentioned slow connection (answering the doorbell) from phones using mobile data. How fast is the connection if the phone is using a good WiFi connection?

Could you help? I have the same similar unit (after market). indoor chime doesn't work? it is hard wired and hooked up to the original doorbell. everything else worked; connected to app, connected to WIFI... When you push the button, you can hear the chime inside. Thx for reviewing.

kidd172 I bought one with a different brand but looks exactly as this. An old iPhone 4s with sim serves as a hotspot. Signal is poor 2/5 stripes Reply does varying between 1-2 seconds to several minutes. Not so nice ☹️ But the most annoying issue is the missing door opening feature by app which was announced on web...

Hi Mibooth I have purchased 1 of these. Exactly same box device exactly same device yet "Nestling" logo at the bottom. The Aiwit APP will not allow 2 users yet the manufacturer states it can support upto 6. Would using "To see" work better?? Thanks Richard

I think it should. Most of these products are produced by one manufacturer and then bought by different companies and branded by them. Few of them actually go as far as changing their firmware so I think multiple apps can work with the same product. Let me also know if it works.

This device was working great until I had to change me WIFI password. Now device doesn't connect as there is no option to adjust network settings in the app. If I delete the device, uninstall the app and then reinstall the app, the device reappears as a saved device. The Rest button doesn't actually reset the device. I'm out of ideas, how can I get it to connect to the network again? Update: Never mind, after trying about 30 times the device finally reset and I was able to delete the old settings from the app and reinstall it as a new device.

We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version kzfaq.infoUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

there are soppose to be two screws in the bottom. mine did not come with any. i will have to find some. screw it to the wall. the sticky is too easy to pull off

It has been for many months but mine is very exposed and the lens misted up a bit after all the recent deluges of rain we have had in UK recently, June 2019, playing a hose pipe on it for three days solid would equate. It was due to be recharged anyway so I took it inside and it dried out with no ill effect. I am very pleased with the doorbell on the whole but there is a delay over mobile connections between someone ringing it and your push notification. If you are in WiFi range it is instant so great if you are upstairs or in the back garden for instance. It makes an excellent cheap CCTV system and you can check your outside anytime you are away from home and make recordings.

I wish to use external power. The instructions say 90-250V AC which seems a bit high. Some other websites say 18V/500mA. Which one? Also, can I keep the batteries in the unit while using external power or is it just one of the other. I ask because it may be useful if there is a power cut and batteries are a backup?

You need an 8-24V DC supply (they recommend 18V)/500ma. The 90-250V AC would be what you plug the DC adapter into (wall outlet).

@@Joetheg1 Man, I just did it... Goes to the app on the main cellphone, click on the screen (for Live View) and you will see a standard share Button. Then you follow the steps for naming the new device and on the app of this additional cellphone you focus on the QRCODE generated by the main cellphone. I can send you the screenshot from the Manual If you want it
