She bought millions of subs. She has 14 mil followers, but less than 1 mil views avg for her vids. That’s about 7% of her audience viewing. Alix Earle has about 5 mil followers, averages around 2.5 mil views per vid. That’s 50% of her audience, much more realistic.

It really would’ve been so easy to say “we had to take it down for legal reasons, and because the prize aspect was not allowed, the prize entries are void and we can’t give out the handbags” like yeah it’d suck for those two people but a quick acknowledgment of the situation would clear things up so quickly. I think that when it's an influencer you might be right that it's for not seeing the person, but (as a non-influencer) I block people because I don't want them to see me (and so it's harder for me to see them)

The way to get around the 'pay to enter' is to always offer one ticket for free. Make the first ticket claimed by a person to be free, then paying for the rest. Then your raffles will be legal because even if paying for more increases your luck it will never truly nullifying the chance someone who got a free ticket will win. Or at least that's how a lot of charity raffles are ran.

Also, "allegedly ", she was NOT allowed to say anything after Lashgate. Apparently L'Oréal said she wasn't permitted to comment on it and also not permitted to say she had false lashes on. This is according to multiple people on the inside who DM'd people like Rich but also Jeffree Star said this was the case on a recent podcast when he'd spoken to her after Lashgate. She told him she couldn't comment on it due to L'Oréal saying she's not allowed.... Wonder if that's true??

It doesn’t matter. Yes, L’Oréal may very well have told her she’s not allowed to disclose that she’s wearing false eyelashes, but SHE had the CHOICE to sign the agreement/contract. This is once again her blaming others for her own actions. She shouldn’t have agreed to whatever L’Oréal’s terms were. But ya know, money. That’s what she cared about over caring that she was lying to her followers who trust her. Now she can’t really talk about it, but it’s her own damn fault. She should have never accepted this sponsorship to begin with. Now she wants to play victim and say she’s silenced? Nah. You knew what you were doing.

Please read what I wrote and don't attack someone on here who you don't know anything about. I don't like Mikayla and I want her to be held accountable for her actions. Actually about 6 or so people had entered according to the hair company HairRaising and their article response they released before the GFM was taken down not only 2. HairRaising was the Go Fund Me organiser. Apparently, Mikayla wasn't "affilated" with this competition. So, question is.... Did HairRaising aka Colour Wow, use their names without permission and so on?! Or did Mikayla know all about it and want to be "affilated" with the GFM?! It makes me laugh that after such a HUGE blunder, (and blunders), she had re: Lashgate had happened. You'd THINK she'd be checking ANYTHING & EVERYTHING she puts her name to and not just slapping her name on all things to have financial gain/views/clout/likes and so on.

@Milada No, it was on her Linktree. Not her bio. But, people are speculating that they may have used her name without her consent for the fund-raiser to get more $$ and that they were only donating a Chanel bag for the event and so on. Not defending Mikayla, as I don't agree with her at all. But, we need to always look at every angle before we condemn people. There may be more to this story. Apparently the whole concept on GFM was done by Hair Raising and Mikayla was just asked to "Share" it, according to other channels.

wait are raffles illegal in the u.s.? we (being in australia) used to do those in primary school all the time - pay 50c a ticket and you get a chance to win a cheap prize - i bought a raffle ticket on a whim and won a pig-shaped beanbag when i was a kid :) if it's illegal then obviously mikayla shouldn't have done it, and it's pretty scammy, but i didn't realise the implications of what those laws would mean.

Maybe it's not that raffles are illegal, but using a "prize" as a motive when asking for donations... You can organize a raffle and say all earnings will go to a certain charity, you're not asking someone to donate but to buy a ticket for it. The incentive there is "buy a ticket and maybe win a prize" with helping an organization as a bonus, instead of "donate to an organization" and the opportunity to win the prize is the bonus. Same ending when it comes to where the money goes, but the motives are different so there's a need for proper outlines (laws) for each one in order to protect the person giving the money. Idk if I wrote it in a way that makes sense, so sorry about that as english isn't my first language😅 Edit: grammar oops

I definitely think Mikayla has been really shady and the raffle seems off, but I don't know if I agree that those two people have won the Chanel bags... like if the raffle was taken down early (did Mikayla or Chris post when the competition would end idk?) then as long as those 2 are given their money back OR if Mikayla/ Chris repost the raffle somehow, and keep those 2 entered I think that's fair imo 🤷‍♀
