I don't agree with it, but the answer is probably "Why do it for free if someone will pay you A LOT?" Think about it, they can do it for free, anyone can do it... But if someone will pay you because you have basically "street cred", you have nothing to lose... You will win money, and someone won't... Not your problem...

she was definitely in the wrong by leading him on and never reviewing the product. however, it was not her fault that he is 10K in debt. but she definitely cannot be trusted and i hope other small businesses who possibly wanted to do business with her take this into consideration.

mikayla is 95% in the wrong here, she led him on, made a promise that she didn’t (not couldn’t cuz she definitely could have she just didn’t want to) keep, and overall was js rude and disrespectful. 5% goes to matthew for believing in her and taking out 10,000 dollar worth of items it was a little impulsive (but makes sense and would’ve been smart if mikayla actually reviewed his product)

I'm not even mad at her for this one, like I completely understand that she should've explained why she didn't do the review for months, but him buying $10,000 in product is on him, he shouldn't have relied on someone for his business, and I really think that's his fault.
