Mike Oldfield originally recorded Tubular Bells in 1973 at the age of 19. The first album ever released by Virgin Records, it gave Virgin instant success selling millions of copies world wide. Today it's still recognized as one of the greatest musical achievements of our time.

@@snarskistomas There is so much music being released by so many different people at different levels of creativity and talent and hard work, most of it probably goes under the radar and will be revealed when the world decides it's ready. I don't understand why people like you constantly comment on music so generally. People from the generations of music before the 70s and 80s would probably say the same thing ABOUT those eras and of course they'd be wrong and everyone would see how they are just stuck reminiscing on better times, but no it makes you look like more of an OG to say the 70s, 80s, and 90s were just inherently better for "meaningful messages" which blatantly isn't true.

My dad used to play this song in the car when we would go for late night drives. Watching the sky while listening to this song(not the exact same one a version of it) made me always wonder what's out there in the universe. I somehow link this song to extraterrestrial life and like looking out at the sky while I slip into a trance thinking about the unknown.
