Part 2 of today’s show is an inspirational one-on-one conversation between Adam Carolla and Mike Posner. Adam asks Mike about the early days of his journey, through getting a record deal from Jay-Z when he was still in college. They also talk about eventually reaching a level of too much comfort, and Mike’s decision to start physically challenging himself by doing things like walking across America. Along the way they discuss how discipline gives you freedom, and Mike’s near-death experience being bit by a rattlesnake. In the last part of the show, the guys talk about the process of quieting your mind from negative voices.

I lived in Massachusetts I had a pool in my backyard it would start going hot in June and we would get in the pool and it would take a few minutes and your legs would go numb. He’s saying your weak if you don’t cold plunge. It could kill you if it’s too cold. That’s what they call hypothermia. I went camping in may and there was a river and it ran to a waterfall and there was a area where the water pooled we decided to go swimming. My brothers jumped in and I didn’t want to because there were rocks so I found a path and walked into the water and it was cold but not much colder than my pool so I walked in and when the water covered my chest It was harder to breathe. So I got right out.
