@@GeorgeosDiazMontexano The 8th octave is the highest perceivable to the human ear. Although, people have hit it. So it is absolutely possible. Word is that Dimash actually went from the 8th, to the 9th, then back to 8th in one of his Unforgettable Day performances once. Although, it's just a rumor as far as I know since I haven't found it myself. It would just sound like nothing for a moment. You'd have to use certain technology to actually be able to hear the sound. There's some on KZfaq of people hitting notes that high and then having a machine play what it sounds like if anybody would want to know what it sounds like.

This "Gakku" festival took place in September 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is said that the city center was paralyzed on the day of the concert. More than 150,000 spectators gathered in the central square of the city. Many came then only because of Dimash. Dimash performed at the end of the concert and sang 5 songs. It was evident that Dimash was relaxed on stage because the competition in China was behind him. The festival is not a competition, and Dimash was HOME, among his countrymen and DEARS. In the song "Unforgettable Day" he took a chance and sang D8. And before the D8 he was waving his microphone, but we didn't hear the sound. I think it was some ultra-sound that only animals hear, and people don't hear. It is said that Dimash sang D8 - "the whistling of the dolphin" and it was the longest sound of this high note. In the history of modern singing performance, the longest sound of this note. There are singers who take this high note, but for so long to keep it no one can.

I dont think he hit some supersonic sound cus he was in the middle of a note, and didnt change positing or anything. And i dont think you can go that high and just not change body position from when you were singing a note several octaves bellow. I think the mic just went out for a second cus it didnt pick up on him shaking it or smth. Anything supersonic would probably just make the mic go nuts and destroy peoples ears. Also look how he braces himself for the D8. Do i think he can go higher than D8? absolutely. So far the record is G10 by a woman, and i think he can beat that tbh. Cus not only did he hit a D8, did it without having to build up to it which the woman who can do a G10 has to by starting at a lower note. And continued the song no problem. He had literally done so much crazy stuff before that note. So him hitting it is unbelievable. So yes, i think he can go much higher. (The russian singer who did hit the G10 also sings in a kind of sloppy fashion before hitting the G10, tho she isnt trying, im sure she isnt nearly as good as Dimash despite hitting a higher note)

@@nicolajvangsgaard6144 Good instinct.... in an interview Dimash said the D8 was an accident..... he missed hitting an D or E 7 as he key changed in the middle of that note directly before (Mic waving w/ no sound) & then he compensated & the Legendary D8 occurred live - Crazy.... Some perles about Dimash: * Dimash's surname Kudaibergen means "God gave" or "given by God" in his Kazakh language. * Dimash also plays several instruments. You can listen to his performance of a national Kazakh song Daididau, he playes dombra at the beginning. If you would like to react to it please use the channel of Gloria Wu (English subtitles, interesting background story, no problems with the copyright). * There is a video with an interview with Dimash's mom Svetlana, she talks about baby Dimash there. When he started to walk his grandparents were taking him to opera performances where his mom was singing. At the end when the singers were thanking the audience, the baby Dimash used to run up to the stage to his mom and was doing it together with her. He liked the stage and was not afraid of those many people! * Dimash says that from the times he could remember at all, he always desired to become a singer. No other idea what to do in his entire life! * At the age of 5, he could distinguish and name a randomly played note. So they put him to a music school. He can play a piano already at that time and his first won competition was a piano contest for children in Kazakhstan, he was 6. * In his personal life, Dimash is a humble, thankful, wise, hard working, moral, friendly and sweet person; has got sense of humor too. (There are many videos, also in Russian, about him and his family.)

Very2 good analysis. Im a music student myself but never in my learning hear something like him. Im pretty much dont care about ranges or whistle but his musicality and control that this guy have. In classes we were told to choose the singing style and stick with it because if we trying to do another style, we might not get it fully or might losing what we've already have. But this guy came in like there is no limit to his style, he is master in techniques and sometimes freaking skipping the notes, not to mention his confidence on stage. Truly a beast

Yay... you choose his song! Did you like the surprise? It's actually 4698.64 Hz... Someone measured it so you can confirm if that is a D8 or D9 in Friday. I don't think many singers in this world would dare sing Dimash's composition like this one LOL. Now you should go for some of his other languages songs. Try The Crown, its Dimash's song too. The Kazakn version is Kim Eiken and the Crown is the Chinese. Another song which is not so reacted to is My Beauty which he composed when he was 14, his first composition. You'll see a very young style there.

Mike you seem now enjoying his interpretations. What I think of Dimash amaizing voice is that being both his parents great singers, every cell of his body was nurtured with his mother talent and swetness, Also he grew up under the loving care of his maternal grand parents. That environment and his amazing voice resulted on what Dimash is and has been able to accomplish. Love and Talent are the foundation of what he is now. That is what I think.

@@neeksu9482 Since it's a ridiculously impossible note to hit for almost everyone, it seems like Dimash was testing with his in-ear monitors just after the D6 to see if he could produce the note at that time. That's why he was shaking the mic so the audience would be less likely to hear the wrong note if he missed it. Then he heard that he nailed it in his in-ears, so he locked his vocal chords there and blasted it out with a vocal slide and vibrato. If you listen extremely closely with earbuds or a good pair of headphones, you can JUST hear the test whistle note when he's shaking the mic after the D6.

Dimash, 6 Octave Range, F2 to the infamous D8. He's been singing since he was 5, his mother is a soprano opera singer and his father a singer also. He was 22 when he sang this song, and he's now 25, almost 26 this month. He's trained extensively in pop and opera. His range is basically from low Baritone (a bit of bass, tenor, and through the soprano ranges). The scary thing is he's even gotten better (which is hard to believe). He plays 8 instruments and sings in 12 languages. Although confident in his music, he's also very humble.

Dimash did a D8 with vibrato for 5 seconds and the new world record by a man that took several tries before actually hitting it is a E8. Just thought you would like to know. By the way there is a great video to check how accurately your hearing really is titled Dimash extreme vocals for a male voice. I am positive you are hitting notes perfectly so you can double check as in the video it shows the notes he hits so you can compare. They do show this is a D8.

Great and informative reaction video Coach. The effect he uses with mic is to assure the people that he is live singing, few very few people said that he uses lip singing not live, so he tends to do that even he used it on The American talent show the World's Best with the song All by Myself - to approve that he sings live and to give cool effect too.

This song was composed by Dimash when he was 17, it's just beautiful and that was his famous 5 sec D8 with vibrato, highest note sung by a male in a live performance in an outdoor concert, mindblowing.I think if you look he was trying to sing his normal E7 but failed to he popped out the incredible note 🌹🌹🌹 When he has his arms spread its normally sending thanks or a hug to his fans, but yes he is confident but never cocky. He is always humble, respectful and very thankful 💖

Hello, Thank you very much for your reaction. Dimash wrote himself the music for this song in 2015 (official date). And the lyrics was written by Olzhas Baisengir. The story about the day in the life of a young man how he met his girl and fell in love with her immediately. This open air festival concert was organised by Gakku TV channel and took place in 2017 in Almaty, former capital of Kazakhstan, one of the most beautiful cities surrounded by very high mountains. There were more than 150 thousand people because of Dimash - headliner of the concert. To compare: there were nearly 90 thousand in 2016.

Thanks for this amazing reaction. You are top class teacher. I am not singer or musician, I just like music and love listening to people that explan somebody's skills and talents to the people who wants to know more about what music and singing are. And, you are doing good job because you are also extraordinary musician.
