Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. I mainly rock the dumpster diving scene but can be found digging through trash curbside as well as scavenging the river bottoms for lost treasures in the summer months. Join me on my epic voyages!

In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. When I worked for a tire company I saved the old valve stems and lead weights. at the end of a few days I had quite a few pounds of lead and scraped off the rubber off the brass and sometimes was a steel. I had a coffee can of the valve stems. Money is money and had a regular job and getting ready to be getting married soon.

My Dad was a truck driver for most of his life. Jumping down from the driver's seat over the years severely impacted his hip joints which really caused problems late in his years. I'd advise you ease yourself down when exiting over the tops. I totally enjoy your adventures.

I would definitely be in competition with you I've been scrapping for 30 years never had time for the garage sales back then copper brass radiators were the norm today it's aluminum and plastic stripping wire has it advantage if you have the time computer wires go for 15% it all adds up over time how much time have you got or I should say space I've had as much as 14 different metals collected in different buckets and barrels for the same load

We had solar panels installed on our house and they left a piece of scrap on the roof. Had my husband take it down and I’m like that’s a nice piece of extruded aluminum there and my husband was like what? I’m like I watch scrapper Mike! I’m like that goes in the scrapper box!

You go girl. Knowing a bit about scrap metal can go a long way in the long run. Those rotors Mike finds are worth almost $2 apiece. A aluminum pressure cooker pot worth about $8 scrap.

Mike the tray that you picked up out of the open top is what the drywall guys use for mud and usually are stainless just so you know for the next time

Nice alloy find buddy, I just did a scrap run yesterday 1060kg steel and 160kg aluminium, but my yard pays crap and it's the only one nearby. Only get 25c a kg or alloy and there's no separation between the types, so I only take all the shity stuff and hold all the good extruded alloy and I'm definitely not taking the brass or copper there,, I asked what brass was and it's only a $1.20kg for clean, so I'll hold onto it and take it 3-4hours away and I'll still make a killing. I usually just take the steel which is kinda pays ok.

Mike I wanted to help you out as a friend since I enjoy watching you videos , I only wish you wear a mask while your in that dumpster cause your breathing all kinds of bad stuff and if you don't one day you'll end up in the hospital cause your lungs is clog up and Mike you don't want to know how it feels and what there going to do it's hurrable and painful I know cause I've went through it a year ago 3 months in the hospital almost didn't make it so please wear a mask . Those bulb sockets from the lights are pretty easy to pull apart and get clean brass out of. They usually just have a piece of fiberboard stapled on the back. One flick with a screwdriver gets the back off, then pull the connectors out with a pliers. You also get all those tiny bits of #1 wire out, which you can add to your bin.
