Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. I mainly rock the dumpster diving scene but can be found digging through trash curbside as well as scavenging the river bottoms for lost treasures in the summer months. Join me on my epic voyages!

In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Especially teas, vacuum sealed coffee beans last a very long time.

Solange Tee und Kaffee dunkel und trocken gelagert wird ist das ewig haltbar. Ich habe schon sehr leckeren Tee aus 20 Jahre alten Beutel getrunken.

Expiration dates don’t really mean anything on canned goods or dry goods, they expiration just means they may have lost some of the nutritional value displayed on the package

You can clean the coffee pots with white vinegar as long as the glass liners are not broken and rattling around inside should be good as new.

Definitely clean those coffee dispensers with white vinegar & hot water. You'll get more $$ selling at garage sale or online, than scrapping. 'Cause like my coffee "gotta be strong".

And yes, I would drink out of an old pressure pot (that's what they're called). If I had a guess, a catering company went out of business.

Sand filter for pool. Also those glass restaurant coffee pots you left behind are worth $10-$15 each and extremely easy to sell. I ABSOLUTELY would by one or 2 of the coffee dispensers if you washed them #scrapking #whatsinyourgarbage

FYI.....Not giving you a hard time, we love tour channel! if this coffee and tea boxes were all in the K-cups. They dont really go bad. Those are air tight, and they put expiration dates on them, so people dont stock pile them when on sale. I would have 0 issue using K-cups of coffee that are 5 years out of date...lol! And the Air pots are a great find! I would use them 100%

Sometimes i worry about Mike leaving his car open and maybe even running and someone sneaking in and stealing it while He is diving . But then i remember how much noise and insane stunt moves He is doing and I'm like "noone dares Move closer" LOL

I would clean up those coffee containers and use them...heck nothing wrong with them. They were in a box on top of the dumpster. IT's not like there was trash on them. Awesome finds.

My friend and I used to do exactly the same thing in England. Our biggest score was finding £270 in change - £1,£2 coins and smaller change in a quality street chocolate tin. We couldn’t believe it!! Talk about luck!! You just got a new subscriber anyway!!

Denture cleaner tablets should work well for cleaning up these coffee dispensers (same for tea-stained thermos cups). Fill them with warm water and let things bubble for a while. Clean them normally afterwards and you should be good to go. The inside should come out like new. And yes, I'll echo those saying that coffee and tea with airtight packaging don't really go bad. I'd definitely consider grabbing the things that aren't more than a year out of date at least.

I'd have filled the truck with the coffee and tea. Some of the flavored ones will change taste eventually, but it doesn't spoil. Nothing in it to go bad.

Good vid. With everyone saying they would drink the coffee and tea, maybe go back and get them. If you don't want them, give to a food bank. Explain where they came from, I believe they would snatch them up. Mike don't listen to us old grumpy pants..you are doing well. Really you are hitting it. They are reusable. Someone can buy the carafes and pumps and clean and disinfect them. Makes me want to open a coffee shop!

If you live close to the coffee tea stuff check on it and take it if it is still there. You wouldn't need to buy coffee for a long time. Sell the stuff you don't like. 7:50 White baskets and other white enamelled pieces build into drawers great for wet climates because they breath so stuff doesn't mold. The brackets to hold them up and let them glide were in there too. I liked mine a lot. Also save the coffee pots. A little bit of bleach, dawn soap and hot water would clean all the coffee pots. They are worth more than scrap then. Lots of places used them and don't buy Kerrig because the coffee pods are expensive and very polluting. I had a pump one and it was great. I would have coffee all day at work and it stayed pretty hot.

I scored some strawberry jam, spent next 16 years on them and only refrigerated ones I opened...yer crazy to think that one or two years makes any difference with a dry sealed product like tea or coffee. Boy what a waste to let all that tea go to landfill, you can bet it is still excellent flavors. The coffee pots and good washing and scrub I know I would drink or eat out of. Your fun to watch and makes me wish I could do this if it wasn't for my knees. Keep on scrapping
