I’m always blessed when I listen.God has truly blessed you with the gift of teaching. Thank you for all the hours of research you put in.

Wonderful! One thing he missed: Aaron was clothed (by someone else). When I look at that I am reminded that, once again, it is God who clothed us. He clothes us as a father/mother dresses their little child who can't do it themselves; and later as a princess/prince who get dressed for coronation. So let the Father "put on" Christ and his righteousness on you! ... and also it also reminds me of Revelation, when the martyrs who are dressed in bloody clothes are waiting for justice, and are told to wait a little longer. In the meanwhile, they are also dressed in white linen. Also the fact that the saints will be given crowns for real... when Jesus had a crown of thorns, we are given a priestly crown that says "I am set apart". Hope these help! finding Jesus in every chapter of the first five books of the bible is my passion right now. As I discover these jewels the scriptures, who God is is becoming more and more real. Often times I feel like I'm reading the scriptures in technicolor as God reveals more and more to me. There are no accidents and God is DEFINITELY in the details.

When I saw the onyx stones with the tribe names, I thought of the scripture that says, "And the government shall be upon His shoulders."

I love how intricate God is and how details are purposefully integrated in God's plans. I prayed a seeking prayer, claimed that promise in the Bible. And ever since that prayer I have had my eyes and ears opened, God has sent me so many brothers and sisters in Christ to help sharpen me (Proverbs 27:17). You are one of them, God bless you brother Mike.

I thought of the connection between oil and lanterns when you were speaking of its symbolism. So cool! It reminds me of Mark 5:14-16: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Honestly I want all of scripture to be exciting to me. Not because I am owed the excitement, but because I want to be in love with scripture to the degree that it always excites me. To give an example. I have friends who's children have always favored me to pretty much everyone other than their own parents. Whenever they would see me their eyes would light up and they would run to throw their arms around me. This is the attitude I want to have with scripture.

My husband and I are making a small Tabernacle in the Wilderness this week. Tonight, I made small figures of Moses and Aaron. Sewing tiny bells and tassels on the bottom of Aaron's garment I'm in awe of God's Holiness. Making something yourself really helps to understand it better. I see Jesus clearly in all of it but I look back from the new Testament. I wonder what the Isralites were thinking.

I don't have time to watch this through right now, maybe this was said in the sermon, but one of my favourite things is that the high priest was forbidden from tearing his garments. And yet that is exactly what the high priest did when he condemned Jesus to death.

Calvaryites! Nice word. Yes, it’s a horrible group. Honoring Calvary Chapel over everything: friends, family, and over the Truth, Jesus. Patmos sounds horrendous. Pottersfield, same. But no surprise about either when their source is considered. Calvary Chapel is a corrupt, deceptive, prideful organization that has unfortunately destroyed so much. I hate to hear that people truly seeking Jesus have been so damaged by the disgusting men and women that work for the Calvary Chapel and it’s “ministries”. On the contrary though, I am truly encouraged to hear of someone that sees, through the power of the Holy Spirit, the reality of what CC is. Our God is so faithful. He will not let one sheep wander away. He will reveal the truth to those that seek Him. Kudos to you, escaping Pathos and escaping Calvary Chapel. It’s time that people start to call Calvary Chapel what it is, a wolf. Slowly but surely groups like Pottersfield and Pathos are making this crazily obvious. The fruit of Calvary Chapel is rotten. Calvary Chapel is a corrupt, rotten business. It’s a place that puts men into a place of power. They’re worshipped, the focus is on working for and honoring Calvary Chapel rather than Jesus. In order to save face they will now all shun Pottersfield and eventually Pathos and seem to escape the deserved scrutiny, but God is faithful and the truth will be seen. Calvary Chapel can keep shuffling, keep paying these men exorbitant sums of money, keep employing family members in church offices and schools, keep the cult like control over church attendees, keep up appearances, BUT GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED. I continue to pray the the truth comes fully into the light and that people that are truly seeking Jesus can escape.

bless you mike for this excellent study. i also find your presentation manner very delightful. my thought on the urim and thummim is that god has already finished putting in writing what he wants to tell us, e.i., his will for us and for all of creation that we need to know. first he spoke through the prophets, then through jesus and finally his disciples wrote more explanations of what had been written earlier culminating in john's book of final revelation. so, now, the lord god almighty wants us to use our brains using his written word to find out what his will is on anything at least based on principles already clearly laid out in his written word. for this reason, it is most important to really prayerfully read, meditate and practice his word asking for understanding of it like david did. and the holy spirit will open our eyes on what we need. god sees no purpose in overwhelming us with knowledge and understanding of what we do not need. so no one will never be able to understand the entire written word of god in its deepest meaning outside of what he needs or can share with those who need it. i see that god has the same principle of "need to know basis" like the military ^_^. the urim and thummim has no more use then for us to walk the path of life that is pleasing to god. god is so into optimum purposes that he only maintains the existing of any of his creation until they complete their purpose.

Something incredible Tim Mackie(Bible Project) mentions is that the anointing oil for the High Priest in the second movement of Leviticus is a type of Jesus itself. The word anointed in Hebrew is translated as (מָשַׁח, maschach) this is the first appointing of a (משיח, mashiyach) this can translate to Messiah. The oil is a symbol of the overabundance of heaven raining down on somebody’s head symbolizing them as a representative over creation. He is a representative of Eden since the Tabernacle is a hot spot of Gods presence. Oil is the super dense form of life, blessing, and abundance.Jesus is that Representative; high priest who gives abundant life (Lev 8:12, John 10:10, Hebrews 4:14,

Thanks for this episode. This reminds me of the vestments worn by Orthodox priests and those Roman Catholic priests who say the Latin mass.

I'm 72 years old and I'm just learning about the symbolism of the offerings and the priest garments. I've searched for years to find a preacher or teacher who could explain it. Most stay away from trying to explain. Isn't it pathetic that I've had to wait so many years for this teaching. But teachers can't teach and preachers can't preach what they don't know. I don't intend to be critical but this knowledge should be taught to all teachers and preachers so they can feed their flock regarding this information.

Perhaps we dont have the urim and thummim (spelling?!?🤷🏼‍♀️) Bc those were reserved for the high priest, and our high priest is in Heaven, wearing the robes of the high priest. John said "I must decrease so he can increase"...John the Baptist was the last rightful high priest, the last descendant of Aaron. That's why he had to die, so the Aaronic priesthood could come to a close. John, a Nazarite from the womb, and the cousin of Jesus, needed reassurance that it was, in fact, Jesus to whom he was to pass the baton of high priesthood.

This is much knowledge, made me able to connect lots of dots and ideas

LDS have a lot of interesting Revelation on Temple clothing. Also if you look at the way Joseph Smith translated The Book of Mormon he had the urine and thumbom available. But when the plates were giving back that was taken back also.

Thanks! This was VERY exciting! I LOVE how God created theatrical media for people all throughout His Word! Most of the bizarre things were simply “plays” that showed what God was sharing with us. (i.e. Ezekiel laying on his side), so any time someone ties together the symbols God was giving as a foreshadow of Christ, it is more than exciting!

So the funniest thing just happened to me. As I was reading exodus 28. I was praying to God because a lot of the Old Testament has some boring parts in it. So I was praying to the Holy Spirit to speak to me as I read. And as i was studying I was looking up what these garments may have looked like. As i finished the chapter I found this video. Of my old worship leader giving this message and starting off with how boring it can be but heres why it’s not. Hahaha hope you’re doing well Mike! Remembering the old calvary chapel downey days!

Brilliant teaching thank you so much. Just listened to a teaching by Nasser al'qatani who said that the garment which the soldiers cast lots for was without seam woven from the top throughout. John 19: 23 . This apparently is the High Priests clothing that Yeshua was wearing. Look at Exodus 28: 32 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent. Oh yes Yeshua is definitely in the OT and the more we see this the more amazed we are at seeing Gods perfect plan for redemption and I just want to worship and glorify the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! It was tight at the top so it could not easily be rent like when the High priest Caiaphas tore his clothing he broke the rules as he was suppose to rend his garments! You could not make this up!
