The manual says to lubricate the impeller with grease every time before each usage . . .and not to use WD40 . . .must be grease.

Yes that’s a good piece of advice. Use a water resistant grease. Wd40 will actually wash the grease away. Wd40 is the worst lubrication. Thanks for the tip. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe

yeah ill grease the impeller not the shaft very smart

A smart person would realize that when they say to grease the impeller, they meant the shaft part of it. If companies were literal and spelled ever little detail out for people, instruction manuals would be 50 pages long. But if we want to be super technical that’s cool too.

What if I wanted to pump the water into a tank, say 6 feet above your bucket, will this pump do that and how long would it take?

If you check the specs on the product in the provided link it states it can pump vertical up to 12 feet. And maximum flow rate is 12.5 gallons per minute.

Is it strong enough to pull through a 25' hose? Will it siphon once it's started? I'm trying to use it to pump water out of a bilge.

This pump will not siphon. It needs the drill to be active to pump the water continuously. And it is only capable of pumping up to 12 feet. I’ve never tried 25 feet. It may work but it will be weak flow and would risk burning the impeller out.

@Bill Of All Trades As a work around, the pump could be used to fill the hose then disconnected to let the hose naturally siphon. The only issues would be to have a strong enough pump to fill the hose and have the exit end low enough for siphoning to take over.
