Quickly becoming my favorite KZfaq channel. You have a giant brass pair, pal. I was thinking about getting a Mavic Mini for the cost. But I still don't think I'd risk my $500 drone like you do. I'm currently flying the Mavic Pro 2 and do not take the risks you do.

I just ordered one. Your videos inspired me. They can do so much for such a little drone.

The bridge is used sometimes by a train. I fly there often. Actually it’s my main spot to fly. I did a 360 center point around that bridge. It’s nice 👍🏾

It might be hard to take some elementary advice since you've been flying for 5 years. First. let me state that I love the Mavic Mini and the subject of your video! With that said, try to remember that most large slabs of concrete, like the the one you launched from, is reinforced with rebar. Accurately calibrating your compass anywhere near reinforced concrete is impossible. I fly a Mavic 2 Pro and I always make sure calibrations are accurate and up to date as I don't wish to see $1,500.00 fly away to never be seen again.. :) Happy Flying!! Stay safe and healthy!

We lived in the area in 2004 and remember well the "Tropicana train" would cross that bridge early every morning. the Tropicana plant is/was in Bradenton. The products they shipped were for all along the east coast. I didn't know it is now abandoned. Loved seeing the river and that area again.

Enjoyed the video and I forget to hit the record button all of the time. I just had an experience with my mini flying out to lake Michigan, as I passed over a water plant I lost control of the drone as it started to drift to the right, then got a magnetic interference warning I hit rth and the drone started to return but it would only get so far then stop like it was hitting a wall. There was no wind at all but the drone would not come any closer then it drifted off and I lost signal. I hit find my drone and jumped in my car and did find where a road crew had found it and returned it to me. the max distance from me to where I lost contact was 2800 ft.

Interference is probably because of too many metal objects around such as rail road and the bridge itself.

I've been watching a number of your vids this evening. Though I, now, fly a Mavic Air 2 (after the Spark and Mavic Air), very great content! Your presentation and commentary are well done. I lived in Sarasota for 10 years and I like following along on Google Maps. Also, if I had a dime for every time I forgot to turn on record, I'd have a dollar, at least! :)

Hi, Nice shots, and good to know even experienced flyers forget to hit record ;-) Was a nice cold but sunny day today in East Yorkshire, UK. Couldn't resist and sneakily put my MM straight up to 60mtrs for a very quick 360. Was pleased with the results. Not as interesting as your locations, but helped with the boredom of 'lockdown'. Looking forward to the next one, thanks .

I have done it myself enough times forgot to hit record. But when I fly my mini i uasually go quick 30 sec to 2 minute clips then blend em all together later. So if i forget to record it might only be a 90 second clip I loose and its never really a bit deal to do it again, just usually anoying. I take it you did not get the fly more pack with your mini. I find 1 battery is enough for most flights but having 2 extra comes in handy from time to time. Anyway not to worry miles it was still another great drone vid...

Please, next challenge... flying it directly to a hurricane. Cause no matter what kind of warnings you get, you'll fly anyway :V

I went for the Fly More combo when I bought my Mini. Easy decision considering people are charging double the normal price for batteries on eBay due to the scarcity. Having three batteries is great.

Another great vid. I've made that recording mistake a few times. I forgot to press record then press to stop it near the end ,but ended up recording the end of my flight 😕 Keep up the content mate👍 Not flying in New Zealand at the moment unfortunately as we are in a total 4 week lockdown.

high voltage runs down even dead rail roads. I've had problems with that high voltage in rail tracks as it interferes with the frequency

The issue are the railing. I have experienced the same on my Mini flying just like you nearby train railroad.

try 5.8 ghz if you in CE version.. It a lot save me when getting high interference

One of the reasons you were having some issues with signal could be some of the new LED street lights have circuitry that transmits a 5G radio signal. Were you using 2.4g wifi or 5.8g. It's quite possible you were picking that up. I noticed a possible transmitter on the light pole in your video.

The train track it's active, normally used by the Tropicana Orange juice delivery/shipping cargo trains. Please notice that Manatee Memorial Hospital has an active helipad not even a 1/4 mile from that location.

some days i can fly in an area and have great great signal, same place another day its struggles to have stable reception........no idea why i do not live in a cluttered flying location

What is the low light, High ISO performance like?

Would have been interesting to see if the range extenders had any effect on the poor signal. Surprised you didn't go the fly more route. Noticed the arrow is still wacky. Read where the person said it might be phone compass. Mine says accuracy is high. So i doubt that's the problem.

I noticed once you hit the record button, the screen recorder would freeze up but the footage from the drone kept filming. Needless to say, if what I see on my screen freezes, the drone if still recording? (Just got mine a week ago and am still figuring it out) Thanks a lot. I’m still trying to grow a pair to go farther than 200m away

That bridge and track aren’t abandoned. They use it pretty much everyday to go to and from Tropicana.

I must be living in the wrong place. One of the rules here in Australia is strictly VLOS, another is don’t fly over highways and people. Do you not have these same limitations where you are? If you don’t, that’s fine but I have an idea you do.... so I have question.... in most of your drone vids, you break these rules regularly, so how do you respond to the problem of less capable, impressionable newer pilots that see you do these things and think it’s fine to copy. That would then give the media and authorities more ammunition to show how “dangerous” our hobby is. Your thoughts?....
