Former army ranger tier 2 of 10 years i miss every fukking day of it. Had 3 major surgeries so im on PT profile for life. Id leave my family for one more tour. If you aint ever been there you would not understand. Being deployed with a team is tighter than any family members you ever had. Im the last one alive from a 12 man team and it fukking sucks for me every god dam day but i rally the fuck up every day 💯

Here I am, 7 years ago I was laying bleeding to death in a small house in Afghanistan, me and my squad got surrounded, our medic was treating my wounds, the plan was to wait for HQ to send reïnforcements, then a grenade came through the small window to my six and landed near me, I couldn’t run, as I was wounded badly, the guy treating me jumped on the grenade, shielding me from the explosion, reïnforcements arrived half an hour later, they got me to a medical center, but my buddy who shielded me from the explosion did not make it, Ruben is now resting on a cemetery in South-Holland, I can never forgive myself for what happened, but I’m grateful for his sacrifice, so are my two children and so was my late wife
