If anyone could find me a physician who knows what even a tenth of what supplements are used for, I would gladly change doctors. At 72 years old I have yet to find an MD or even a DO that KNOWS hardly anything about herbal supplements or alternative medications. If a medication doesn't have a big pharma name attached to it, doctors don't want to acknowledge it exists.

I've been taking milk thistle for at least 10 yrs now. It started "innocently" just to help my liver. Not heavy drinker, never had any problems just thought that since it is such important organ and I'm getting older, it might help with my overall well-being. Thank you dr Kim for the presentation, it made me understand better how good it is for me.

Doctor, i just want to tell you that i am so glad for your channel. The last 4 years i have done extensive studies into the supplements i find that you teach about. I wanted to be able to get off of the pharmaceuticals i was on. Since i took on this journey into a more natural way of handling many of my problems i can honestly say that i have been able to stop taking : Anti-Depressants, Blood Pressure meds. (My doctor told me to stop using them. I did not just stop) I stopped having sinus infections which would turn into chest congestion, then bronchitis. Almost every other month.I also take local raw honey everyday. I don't have to take 16 or more ibu for inflammation and pain because of tumeric. I just took my Milk Thistle (I use to be a heavy drinker). Just last week though i felt i was coming down with something in my chest. By night time i was having a very hard time breathing. I am a former smoker and have decreased function in my lungs. But, i don't run to the commercial medicine cabinet any more. I started my sick regimen of herbs. Elderberry syrup i made myself, oil of oregano, licorice root, mullein leaf, vitamin c, echinacea, olive leaf, and goldenseal. And also my normal routine of vitamins and minerals.Oh how it kicked it out quick. I have hardly been sick in 3 and a half years. As before i was constantly getting sick. But, i found out by this video that there was a lot of information i didn't know about Milk Thistle which will lead me to watch all your content. Thanks for the awesome video. And you have a loyal viewer for sure. Do you have any certain go to for special times? I would love to know. Thanks again. One more thing. I make my dogs their food and my dogs also get milk thistle, dandelion root and other supplements. I heard that these specifically help with fatty tumors. 1 of my dogs has those. We have really only started. So we shall see.

Guess what? I'm just about to dig into my thermos which has not only green and rooibos tea brewing away, but also milk thistle seeds too. I won't lie - I've stopped short of grinding them up in a pestle and mortar - but I'm convinced I'm still getting a good hit of positives. One major one hopefully being a reduction of the negative effects of oestrogen from soy based products. Take for example, a vegan Wellington I tried yesterday. I can't claim to be a veggie, but nuts, seeds and mushrooms figure in my diet a whole lot. One hopes they're hepatoprotective too.

Doctors know about holistic medicine, but because they are slaves of the A.M.A., who go by a very narrow band of remedies, mostly pharmaceuticals, which the A.M.A. make millions from, who'da thunk it??? There are plenty of videos here on YT that show doctors who quit, gave up their license, their 16 years (+/-) of schooling to treat people with holistic medicine and they feel amazing because they know they are truly helping people. With men it is not really properly called estrogen dominance but the fact that their bodies do not have enough testosterone and family to turn into the estrogens needed through aromastase process, for the needs of their bones, tissues, muscles, brain...When not enough T is available the body turns to making fat which creates the estrogen needed...just as in menopausal women... it is the prospective...the balance...
