Just subscribed. I just picked up and old Sears Roebuck lathe, and a cheap Harbour Freight lathe, with 2 full dresser drawers full of bits and attachments for $500. Didnt wanna pass up the deal. Started watching lathe videos and stumbled upon your channel. Didnt know you could do mill work on a lathe. Awesome video! There has been 100 times over the years where I said, "Damn, if only I had a lathe I could fix this." Well now I can with help from videos like this. Thank you! 🍻

Good short milling and fab job.

Even though you really do get the job done well on the lathe, it would be good to get you a milling machine. I have my fingers crossed! Again a nice video.

Like one other comment I came to own an atlas and was trying to sell it because I couldn’t think of any reason to keep it. It’s on legs with the motor on a peg leg. The gears have to be changed out to thread or adjust rpm’s I guess. I have no experience with them but it’s staying now and I will be looking for attachments. Thanks for the knowledge, I’ll be back with questions I’m sure.

Nice video. I have the milling attachment, but my 10” Atlas lathe did not come with a milling tool holder. What do you recommend to hold the cutting tool?

I think it was pulling into the work piece because you were climb milling?

Looks like a slot drill instead of end mill would help, can be bought dirt cheap on ebay from China (however that doesn't do indigenous industry any good)

That little Atlas is a very versatile tool, since you breed raise cattle, maybe expand your expertise and try mixing the Rockford and the Atlas to get the best of both worlds... lol
