Thanks for the review and the comparison 👍 I was up in the air with both of them I am a commercial HVAC technician nothing I deal with is small 😂 but seeing the brushless in action and seeing the speed of it I think for my trade it will benefit me for cutting the large 6" PVC and smaller the small PVC pipe I run into I just use my m12 shears for a cleaner cut and speed but this will help me in a way, I don't have to use the corded one except for demo jobs. Thank you for your opinion I'll start with the brushless and then eventually get a smaller one for lighter work 👍 that's a good idea.

Awesome video. Also checked out fuel vs angle iron video. Had both in my Amazon list...removing brushed now. That's a huge difference in speed/power. It is larger, but I'm no pro construction guy & instead of getting a "real" sawzall I'll be using this whenever I need one. The extra power is worth knocking a bigger hole in the wall to me lol. FYI my other m12 stuff isn't fuel, & I don't plan to upgrade for now as power between ratchets / impact drivers on 12v isn't an issue for me. Thanks for doing this comparison.

I have the older brushed one. Was hoping to see a bit more side by side of them to see if the newer one vibrates less. I don't use the saw often, just for small jobs. A lot of 3-5mm bolt cutting and thin aluminum/steel stock cutting vs breaking out the corded jig saw.

The little one I use at work for cutting 1 handed jobs. Like cutting T bolts off a toilet or cutting copper and pvc or cpvc under a house. It does a great job for what it's made for. The bigger is more difficult to use 1 handed and can't get in tight spaces. Its not made for cutting through 4×4s and 2 inch steel pipe

The M18 fuel has 7/8" stroke and it has an adjustable pivoting shoe which makes a HUGE difference. I think with a tool like this you might as well get the M18 fuel because it benefits so much from the bigger batteries.

This was another great video Jimbo! It is very clear that the brushless hacksaw is faster then the brushed hacksaw. Its also very clear that the hacksaws themselves are not really designed for major wood working projects, they seem to be designed specifically for cutting pipe, and for that, they do very well. Thanks for showing what they tools were capable of, and always remember to not loose your battery. ;)

I’d say get the base model if you just want it for projects around the house. But the Fuel model is definitely more for the trades. Speed and efficiency means you get the job done faster. Brushed tools just don’t belong in the trades anymore in my opinion. Not a good investment.

🤔 Yo pienso que no cortaste de la misma manera con las 2. Me refiero al movimiento que le das a la sierra a la hora de estar cortando.
@ariip
@ariip 8 жыл бұрын
Part of the issue is how unstable your table is. All the movement in the table and the wood you are cutting reduces the travel and movement of the blade relative to the material you are cutting. This slows down your cutting ability. You need a more solid work bench.

Please reguard this comment as constructive critisism, not a personal attack & meant to teach you. It was painful to watch & painfully slow because you weren't using the saws TOTALLY correctly. In order for a Sawzall/Hackzall to cut properly it's EXTREMELY important to hold the shoe of the saw VERY tightly using A LOT of force AGAINST the material being cut, using the correct saw blade, cutting oil if needed & speed for the type of material & thickness being cut. If not it'll vibrate heavily back and forth in your hand (like in this video) & won't cut worth shit because the whole saw & blade is moving back & forth instead of just the blade. You'll totally agree with me if you clamp the material in a large vise on a big heavy work bench & hold the shoe of the saw very tightly against the material being cut & you use the proper saw blade, cutting speed & cutting oil if needed for the materials being cut. Everything else you did was great & with more experience cutting hard materials the better you'll get at it.

TIM from Canada my question for Milwaukee when people spend money to buy your tools. Why is it in a kit. You give people a 1.5 battery or 2.0 battery.. let me explain this one. I recently bought M 12 Hackzall it come with a 2.0 battery. This does nothing these batteries are garbage. It seems like in a kit that you buy from any company they give you the creepiest battery in their lineup which is a low in battery. People spend the money to buy your tools in a kit increase your battery sizes this goes for everyone

I switched out an old used Milwaukee blade for a new Diablo blade, thinking I would be cutting like butter. The Diablo blade was a pc of crap. I put the old blade back on and it worked twice as well. I will never buy another Diablo blade. I wanted one of these saws but between the shaky table and useless blades, you don’t make it look very appealing. Quite frankly, this video is just hard to watch. I know the quality of the Milwaukee lineup, and it’s hard to believe it performs as poorly as you make it look. I still want one, but just barely, after watching this. Damn dude!

Like my little Makita 9.6V circular saw, smaller tools can cut bigger jobs, it just takes more time. If you use these types of tools for a living, all day long, you'll want an 18V version, because time is money. OTOH, If you only use it for a few minutes a day, the smaller less powerful AND CHEAPER tool will be perfectly adequate. Men almost always want bigger, more powerful, MORE EXPENSIVE tools whether they're needed or not. Buy what you need. Not what your ego tells you to buy. Real men know the difference. Adolescents do not.

This does not look a fair comparison. How come you have only cut the steel angle bar using the brushed toll but NOT the fuel version of it ???? Why ??? This is misleading or isn't it ? Some viewers like me would have liked to see the real capability of the FUEL tool when cutting heavy duty steel bars.This would be a decisive deal breaker for someone looking for a small size tool but powerful enough to be used for cutting for instance 41mm by 41mm unistrut steel bars used by electricians in the construction industry. However, I still appreciate your overall effort to make this video. Tnx.
