Today's episode of Tool Review Tuesday features the Milwaukee M18 FUEL Quik-Lok Articulating Hedge Trimmer, model 49-16-2719. This tool is powered by a 9Ah 18 Volt battery. I put the hedge trimmer through many tests on bushes and shrubs. I also feature the 3' extension accessory, which is a much safer option instead of getting up on a ladder. Some amazing features of this tool include a 20" blade with a 1" cut capacity, a tip guard to prevent damage to the blade, a padded grip for optimal hand placement, and it rotates 270 degrees, with 13 operating positions. Please watch.the video all the way through to see how powerful it it and the amazing cut quality.

By far the best video on using an articulating hedge trimmer attachment. The only video that clearly shows all the angles that it can be set at, the cut quality, how to lubricate it -- even how it hangs up and stores. Thank you.

I used the chain saw attachment to cut only about 6 honeysuckle branches up high. My gosh it gets heavy. By the 6th time lifting and holding it to cut it felt like a last set of overhead presses! Happy it did the job and didn't even phase the battery. You pop those attachments on and off fast, my M18 attchs have a silver button that has to line up with a notch in the power end. The boxwood trimming you added was great for me. think you should skinny down the sides of the bush by the pole to give you more room to trim it. First of spring was perfect trimming time.

I'm planning on using the saw attachment soon for the first time. Milwaukee offers a shoulder strap to go with this, but I'm not sure it would help with the weight?
@publicname60
@publicname60 5 жыл бұрын
@@MarkThomasBuilder Yeah you're right, it's kind of held in front or high reaching so there wouldn't be much or any weight on a shoulder strap. Hasn't been easy to get the hedge trimmer and extension attachments. Not even available on Amazon so you're lucky!

I’ve used mine once and it will take some practice to get the hang of this trimmer. It is heavier than I thought it would be so I adjusted the handle to help with the balance. Next time I use it I will grab it with my left hand further up the pole to see if that gives me better control.

I just picked up this hedge trimmer free with the purchase of the trimmer 2825-21ST. I just bought a 200.00 Husqvarna gas trimmer and it turned out to be a POS. The line was like paper and to wind it was a nightmare, it went back the next day. An extra 100.00 bucks and got electric with a nice head that winds the line by the cap. Way nicer and a free hedger (150.00 to 180.00 on line) which I really needed.

It's an amazing tool that sure comes in handy. I like walking around my yard with the line trimmer, not having to run the engine all the time, like a gas unit. I'm woking on a video this weekend showing all the work I can do on a single charge of a 12Ah battery. I'm going to use the different attachments like the edger and chainsaw.

My new Husqvarna gas trimmer was working great until it stop working within couple hours of non continuous usage. They refused to fix it under warranty said I use bad gas. BS, I had 2 cycle equipment working for 20 years and being careful with new gas and oil mixture ratios. Switched to 80 volt Kobalt trimmer and never looked back, getting a Milwaukee pole saw and blower tomorrow.
