This is step #1 in making a slipcover, after determining how much fabric to buy of course.
Welt gets pinned into the body of the slipcover during the creation of the slipcover.

I always wondered why do you have to make it on the bias. Seems like you would have to use a lot more fabric, but never done the math. Can't wait to see the slipcover.

it def does take more fabric , specially if you don't need a lot of welt. But it does work better of the bias for sure. 😀

When you refer to a half YARD for this chair project, what exactly do you mean? Clearly you're not referring to a linear half yard, as you've created many yards of welt. Thank you, Mimzy

I used a half yard of fabric to create all this welt. At the beginning of the video i first rolled off a full yard of fabric but then i reduced it to half a yard.
