Mind-Blowing Guitar Lick Lesson with Tabs by Paul Gilbert
This one is a Mind-Blowing Paul Gilbert string skipping legato super fast picking lick by Paul Gilbert. He is playing 32nd notes in 190-200 bpm which is equal to 25 notes per second. This is the intro solo of Paul Gilbert - Intense Rock 1 Sequences and Techniques 1990
If you want to improve your picking speed or your picking technique this exercise is one of the best for you. I am explaining how to play fast, how to practice, string skipping, picking technique and I am played with half speed with tabs.

His pinky is the length of a standard index finger, that's where the secret sauce is. Most shredders - with few exceptions like Shawn Lane, who utilized different scale movement from Gilbert's - who move laterally while running entire octave on single strings have super long fingers, especially the pinky. Don't take my word for it, check them out for yourself. So it's not just native ability and smart/obsessive practice, but also the hand physiognomy. Let's be clear here, Django, an amazing player in his own right, could never do this run so fast so cleanly if his life depended on it.

@@Jh-fi5im that's not true , sure it's in that power metal Neo Classical vain but can I suggest to you to checkout the video made of his career by Razorfist ? It's series is called Metal Mythos and not only will it show you he has done more then what people expect but Razorfist is hilarious and intelligent. Check it out!

How do I know how much gain to use?
@OzzGuitar
@OzzGuitar Жыл бұрын
Most of the amps don’t have crazy levels of the drive so it's safe, but if you talk about pedals or processors starting from zero point and increasing the gain, at some point you won't hear any differences so go back from that point (you need less gain)✌️
