E Cook abbey is a con artist there’s tons of videos exposing her and her manipulation tactics. And no it’s not cus she’s not vegan it’s bc of her unhealthy advice that she changes up each video depending on who she’s talking abt(to fit her agenda) acting as if she’s gospel of nutrition when in reality she hasn’t even worked with patients in the hospital so she dosent realize there’s no one size fits all approach to food yet she pretends that she’s supportive of “balance” when she’ll shame ppl for not have 300g of protein when it first her agenda(kinda like freele with nutpicking stuff about people’s diet the only difference is that abbey has a degree and works to please her sponsors while freele dosent know shit but aye at least she talks abt the animals which is good) . Watch the videos if you must. ~a medical resident

This is such an important message to be sending out on KZfaq, where there are so many “health” videos which err on the side of extreme or inflexible healthy eating and lifestyle. As someone who has suffered from an eating disorder and still has a complex relationship with food, I found this video so uplifting and real. Your framework for food sets people free to live how they want to, not how they feel they should. Healthy eating can be a form of self care, but only when it’s detached from ultimatums (ie the reward and punishment/black and white mentality you mentioned). You get across so well that while food can be something that brings us joy, it isn’t everything and there is so much more to do and enjoy in life :). Love what you do Sadia; you’re great!

You are truly a blessing to me right now. I am approaching 1 month of being vegan (due to health reasons). I have always struggled with food and weight. I was at my heaviest of 98kg in 2010 and now I am 70kgs. As much as I am proud of my accomplishment, throughout my weight loss journey I developed very bad anxiety around food. Saying "I can't eat this or that because it'll make me fat". I'm now 26yrs old and I still have this mentality even though I live a very active lifestyle and eat very well most days of the week.. I'm still struggling with my relationship with food and I want it to just stop. Your vlog has truly spoken to my soul 💕. Thank you

That's so good to see someone being real about it!! Sometimes I see people, even friends being over strict to their choices and never relaxing about it, ruining moments that were supposed to be light and just have fun, to a point that it also made me feel that I was being too relaxed about it, not taking my habits seriously enough. But in my mind, it never made sense to be too stressed about it all the time. So I'm really glad to randomly find this video! Good to know I'm not the only one thinking like that!

I wanted to start adopting a healthy lifestyle and watching KZfaq vloggers has made that really hard because they tend to make their videos as if they're living the perfect life, so I've been confused on what to do. Watching your channel and content has answered every question I've had and I love your idea on a healthy lifestyle not by cutting down certain things but by reducing their intake and actually thinking if that makes me happy/feel good and if I should have it. I am constantly confused about what food to eat more of and what to avoid. I need to find my balance, expecially when I'm eating with friends. Thanks for the help.

unless you have health concerns that impact your diet, the food pyramid is a great place to start (nutritionaustralia.org/sites/default/files/HealthyEatingPyramid.jpg) - an abundance of fruit, veg and legumes, lots of wholegrains, then nuts, seeds, and things like tofu, seitan, etc. and a small amount of oils. when out with friends, especially for a meal like lunch or dinner, if you feel like what you order adds enough vegetables, grains and/or something more filling like legumes/tofu etc., then go for it. but also remember to fuel your soul and choose food that makes you happy.

@@mosaic2476 I couldn't access that page, probably cause I'm 🇬🇧, I have for a vegan food pyramid. Which I've downloaded also I found this about "eating the rainbow" R apples, beets, strawberries O oranges, yams, pumpkins, carrots, papaya, cantaloupe Y bananas, butternut squash, mango G green leafy vegetables, broccoli, asparagus B grapes, blue potatoes, blueberries I purple carrots or potatoes, grapes, raspberries V plums, blackberries

ah sorry about that! your government should have a similar website, though, which tells you about servings and gives you an idea of what you need. "eating the rainbow" is such a good idea!!

I just watched one of your videos from two years ago, and now this one. You have become so strong (and you were already very strong then). I feel like your voice has changed (it's deeper and more reassuring) and that you are more certain about how you feel about certain topics, or, in your overall life. At least this is how it appeared to me. Thanks for sharing your journey with us, as we are all on ours and internally connected through movement.

I've just watched a documentary titled Heal, where there are terminally heal people who miracolously heal themselves. The documentary is related to the pharmaceutical industry, doctors and surgeons but also alternative medicine. They identified some guidelines to follow to help the healing process, primarily a whole food plant based diet (stated by doctors) but also faith and love are very important. For those of you currently struggling with a serious health condition like mine, I say, hang in there, we are in this together and together we will win. We are O N E.

I am so happy to have found your channel. I have been Vegan for 5 years . I started very healthy and managed to put the Hashimoto’s I was diagnosed with into remission. Over the last several years became a junk food Vegan. Now the symptoms of Hashimoto’s is worse and so are the other autoimmune issues I had in the past. I am also at the heaviest weight I have ever been in my life. I have felt depressed, lost and overwhelmed. Your videos are very inspiring and for the first time in a while I feel more optimist about my journey back towards health and self love. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, love of life and delicious recipes with all of us.

We need more of that video, everywhere! I struggle with food, not because I don't know what is healthy or not, what I like and don't like, and not because I can't cook (I'm not the best but I do ok), it's a mentality problem. Exactly as you said in the video, thinking "I'm not enough" because I'm eating "the wrong foods" instead of vegetables, because I have biscuits with my tea and then I feel guilty, so I eat more of the comfort foods I love, which just starts a vicious circle. I know lots of people are like me and that's why I hope you'll keep spreading that message far and wide, to remind us that food can be enjoyed and that it also supports our health and our lives. Hopefully the message will catch on and everyone, in turn, will spread it and believe it! Thank you Sadia.

Thank you for what you do. I'm having a really hard time with my ED, I'm having a relapse and I really couldn't be happier thanks to you and this video. Sometimes things get so tough, as you said we always feel like we don't do enough,we don't try hard enough and it's good to have someone like you reminding us that we are doing all that we can and that it's okay to have a treat or that it's okay even to fall sometimes, if we catch ourselves again afterwards

Persons like you are the reason that KZfaq is still enjoyable. And thank you for uploading this video. The concept you shared in this video isn't the rocket-science but a simple concept that we always tend to overcomplicate. You're right...food should be the thing that nourish our body and feed our soul not the sole purpose of getting skinny and depriving ourselves. We only live once and life is too short to regret. Please share more positivity with your audience and people around you. This world needs more and more people like you.

I've watched a couple of your video recently. The topics that you bring to our attention and the way you talk about them... Magic! Self-love and self-care are as important as eating healthy. Having a little treat from time to time never hurt anybody. I agree with you in every possible way ❤ Thanks Sadia
