@gordon champion.. If you toggle the left button on the tach, you should be able to set it to the display you want.

it can be but you need to have the duel tach and speedo on the steering colum most cars do not have it

Again if you do not have the dual tach speedo combo you cannot access it, but on those models with out navigation you have guages for temp any way. thats what I use it for most

Bought an 09 mini S took to shop they said i needed a thermostat i wasn't too sure if it was true as the the coolant reservoir had a minor leak in it so im thinking the previous owner may have drove it with the leak until it was low on coolant and tripped the over heat sensor. good to know what temp i should expect to see the fans turn on. I have a 2003 Minin Cooper I bought used. It is leaking toward the front. It's not oil but it does have the consistency I had it checked out bu the people I bought it from and they said it's not leaking. My heater works but not the air conditioner or I am setting it on the wrong buttons? LOL!

I did this procedure this morning. A few days ago I got a code for P0128. I remembered the "hidden" service thing yesterday, got it all set up and unlocked and went to menu 7. "ATMP-MOM" showed ~30 oC, what I figure is the ambient (outside) temperature. "CTMP-MOM" gives me nothing but "*** oC". This is all it showed me for the duration of my trip to work. Guess that meant the CTS is giving no signal at all(?).

I cracked my code! It works exactly as you described.

The code is the last 5 numbers of the vin added together. That will unlock the data hope this helps

I recently replaced the thermostat housing and had the check engine light error code cleared at O'Reilly's. The error code was p173b *coolant temp sensor needs replacing*The light is still on, and I noticed before the tstat was replaced the fan seem to run abnormally long after engine stopped and still does presently after tstat replacement. After viewing this video, I see where the tstat target temp isn't set. When at CTMP-MOM there are *** before Celsius. Is it possible to set temp for tstat or is this something mini dealer has to do? Btw, I appreciate this video or I would be totally lost again. I assume since the *** is present without a target temp, the fan will run because it doesn't have a temp setting programmed and I also assume once a temp is set the engine light will go off. I would greatly appreciate any input regarding my problem. I'm just relieved the tstat is replaced and coolant leak is corrected.

There's something wrong with your airbag setup. Be sure to get it checked, your airbag probably won't go off. And it's probably just the wiring under the seats that needs to be checked.

I have a 2013 mini Cooper that was getting 50 miles per gallon. It would literally show 630 miles per tank of gas now it's showing 540 and dropping a 100 miles per 50 miles needless to say it's about 35 miles per gallon which is horrible other than changing the air filter is there any other possible way's I could do to get my gas millage where it was? I did just recently had local mechanic fix the fuel regulator switch which trip the check engine light and I drove it like that for several months if that helps or means anything
