In very hot weather / direct sunshine it can lead to the sunroof not closing. It attempts to close, thinks there is an obstruction & so reverses. Very inconvenient. If you push down firmly on the centre of the glass as it closes, it will overcome the problem and allow it to close.

I had exactly same problem and I applied silicone lubricant around the sunroof and my problem solved.

Hii were exactly did you applied the lubricant?? In where the glass support??

@@moisesg2778 there is a plastic or rubber part around the glass, I applied silicon lubricant there. Actual problem is all sun, dust etc. makes that rubber stiff so sunroof sensors automatically opens sunroof.

Do not use oil based lubricant there otherwise it makes even worse ;)

I have this problem but in reverse... It opens partially then starts to go back and stops then goes forward a hair and stops .. And after that it usually takes a couple attempts to get it to close cause then it'll do like your showing in the video .. Like it hit an obstacle and just stops ... Seen something somewhere that sometimes the cable gets caught up onto the track and prohibits it from moving.. So Might pull the glass and try and get a better look .. Thanks for the video :)

Thanks but this is not really a fix, rather a bodge to get it to close. The other option is to inch the sunroof forward with the button until it closes.

Clean all the rubbers carefully so it slips in more easily by itself. The rubber is dry and dusty, not smooth.

You need to adjust the front and rear glass to be slightly tilted at rest.. No need for pushing afterwards

@karalacosse1537 each glass is attached by 4 screws to the frame, if you close the shade you can see it from inside. You losen them a little and each glass can be adjusted few milimeters each way. I made the front glass to have the rear liffted a bit... so it slides up easier.
