Nah it doesn't that is a accurate score main problem with toyota and honda is they will go to the moon and back but at the cost of interior quality . I had for a brief while a 2017 Toyota yaris Hybrid I inherited from a family member and the car was nice but the interior quality was appalling but I sold that and my old car for a 2021 Dacia Sandero mk3 and honestly the interior is better screwed together in the Dacia compared to the Yaris .

Judging just by looks on a screen... The 208 seems to own the mini in terms of build quality. It looks far more premium and it does what a premium car should give you: lots of comfort and being able to adapt to every situation. I never had a Peugeot, usually I prefer Citröen or Renault or VW but this one is impressive. I would say it is more premium than the so called premium cars

You could also get the Opel/Vauxhall Corsa which on the outside has the same kinda plumb-subcompact design and the uncolored plastic all around which I don't like on the Peugeot either. But then on the inside that's where you pay more for the interesting sterring wheel desing, the better looking and feeling buttons and the a little more comfy driving experience. But I'd definitely go fore the EV versions or at least the automatic. It's not that I hate the little N/A 1.2 Puretech 75hp engine BUT as a person with shoe-size 46 I sometimes hit the brake and clutch at the same time, that's stuff from 20 years ago I thought but no. The previous Opels and Peugeots felt way more spacious and zippier.

I agree with you when you look at the quality through a screen but when you actually feel the interior the 208 is definitely below. All buttons and everything you touch lools good but doesnt feel high quality in reality, thats what mini does well, everything is bmw inside of it!

@@chriskonte1909 what can I say? I only drove Opel/Vauxhall before belonging to PSA.... It was bad...really bad. And the cars were expensive to repair and maintain and hard for mechanics to work on them. Driving and comfort were really awful but they had something the current Corsa has not: they looked cool, young and fresh. This Corsa is kind of boring and lacks at least one outrageous colour in the options to liven things up. It is a good car but not one you dream of buying it....

@@TheAllMightyGodofCod There's a good why you don't get that "I wanna have that car" -feeling; It looks clumsier than before, the old Corsas looked thinner and more agile while this Corsa F looks like a filled tart. Also interior space in limited when compared to an older Corsa E. No reason for me to buy a new Corsa instead of a Fiesta as a young person, tho the current Corsa finall outsells the Fiesta, reason being the full EV version I guess.

Not sure I am ready for a pure electric. But, I own a 2020 Honda Insight. And well, who can argue with 40 MPG and 0-60 MPH in 7.5 seconds. Hell, the 300ZX when I was in high school did 0-60 in 7 flat. Plus it looks like a car and not like something from a bad sci-fi film like a Prius or Iconiq.

The Insight though in EV mode gets you about 1-1.5 mile of range which is totally pointless and 40mpg was good about two decades ago. 🙃 Would agree a Prius / Ioniq Electric are horrendous in range, performance and style, the new Ioniq 5 (+ Kia EV6) however are masterpieces.

Why range? Big battery big range just like ICE cars big fuel tank big range. Its nearly 2022 electricity prices around the world are outstripping inflation. We need kWh/100km which is similar to the international representation for ICE fuels of l/100km. Okay you are partly stuck in imperial still with mpg so why not miles per kWh or similar to compare the engineering efficency. Any company can disguise poor efficency with a larger battery or fuel tank. Range and consumption both important.

@waynehobbs5175

@@stevecade857 exactly this is why I get annoyed that range is a headline and efficency is fine print or non existent. Range is important because unlike ICE fuels, a source of refuelling isn't in every town but . . . If vehicle 'A' uses 30% more kWh than vehicle 'B' and both are in the same class than 'A' wins even if it has a smaller range. Same as if the comparison was ICE. Car C uses 8l/100km but has 40 litre tank so range is 500km. Car D uses 10l/100km but has a 60 litre tank so range is 600km. To me car C is the better, efficently engineered car.

@@stevecade857 this is why the less kWh per 100km the better and why it should be deemed more important than range. From construction to scrapping in 10 years an EV saves 20% on greenhouse gasses. @@3ducs EVs are not really about driving enjoyment like a lightweight, manual ICE sports car but they are definitely getting better at it. The Mini and the e208 are both enjoyable to drive but because of the lack of noise, the extra weight and the fact they're an automatic some of that driving pleasure has gone. However you really shouldn't discount them as an everyday car. For that they're really very good. Short journeys with cold oil and no engine wear to think about with an EV. Just get in and go. Very quiet and relaxing to drive. Cheap to run (currently) and if you have a home charger supply you can pretty much have a full tank every morning. As long as you can still get in and out of that MX-5 and they have not priced or banned ICE cars off the road keep enjoying it while you can, but you should never say never. The mini is ugly up front. Looks like a fish. In fact, it seems to me that BMW have spent the last ten years figuring out how to make what was originally an attractive small car into an overblown mess.

This has turned into “One Gear”, a car show for non-car people. You’re pandering to the 1%, who don’t like cars and who make up nonsense to justify their ludicrously expensive purchase, while p155ing off your other 99% fan base. Sad, but goodby.

Still going to take years before these ev's are practical for everyone by then the car makers will be back to making fuel cars. It's all a big con

Shouldn’t we really be looking at the real-life issues. EV account for 70% more emission than ICE during production. To run an EV account for 30% more emissions, compared to an ICE. Unless you are lucky enough to be able to use renewable energy to charge the batteries. Why isn’t anyone tackling the constant propaganda around these highly polluting EV’s. Current EV’s, through their lifecycle will produce significantly more emissions than ICE, so why the switch? When we are moving the emission issue around, we are also increasing the level of emissions with EV in comparison to ICE.

Ev’s produced less emissions over their life time than in a combustion engine car, that’s a fact. Stop trying to spread fake news.

@@TylerBenney Thank you for responding. The information above is not fake, it is accurate. Depending on where you live and how your electricity supply is produced, will have a major impact on whether or not a EV will produce less or more emissions than a ICE.
Now THIS is entertainment! 🤣
