Thanks! :) Even if it's a 4 stroke ;) I got really inspired last summer after watching some guys having a blast on some minibikes so I decided to build my own interpretation of it. I did have to order some small bits and pieces like the handlebars and the fuel tank but it was built mostly from junk I had laying around that was ready for the scrapper.

Hollaendaren Even being a foul stroke! I had just settled in on the porch with a cigar and a generous glass of Lagavulin when I saw the notification, perfect. That test road looks scary soft and mushy!

Perfect timing! :) Yeah the road was/is *really* sketchy to the left of our driveway! You can actually see the mud flying on the gopro footage when I'm braking. The weather looked nice in the vid but it had been raining pretty much non stop for 4 days. It wasn't too bad to the right where I did the test runs though. But in another couple of weeks when the frost is finally out of the ground, all snow melted, and it'll hopefully be bone dry again. I'd probably get a bit more consistent results on a dry road. But I have a lead on some large electric motors now so hopefully there'll be a dyno build soon too.

Fun following along with the tuning, I always wanted to try a leaf blower as a supercharger

Mighty car mods tested that on a car :) I can't remember the results though. But that might be a good plan B!

What a useless project and so fantastic! I Love this kind of crazy projects whith your scientific approach and analyze. It really teaches me something.

Isn't that what hobbies are for? Doing pointless stuff for fun :) it's not like collecting cigar wrappers makes a lot of sense but lots of people do it ;) I'm doing this stuff mostly for the challenge, learning new things as I need them. Who knows they might come in handy for something non-pointless (pointy?) one day. As for the scientific bit, I'm a bit of a number nerd so obviously I want data on my results. As Adam Savage put it, the only difference between science and messing around is writing things down, I think he has a point there :)

It hasn't been minibike season :) I bought the "blower" last autumn in preparation for this. There's a couple of other things I'm going to do first though before I get to the supercharging bit, because that's definitely the most work and will probably take a couple of weekends to complete. Hoping to have a light flywheel and an ignition mod in place by the end of this weekend so that should hopefully be on KZfaq some time next week :)
