The last time I did a door removal, I used a floor jack and small scrap of carpet at the bottom of the door, because, as you said, these doors are heavy. On a car, such as the Buick I was working on, you will have to remove the door panel and disconnect wiring to the power window and lock. Now is the time to lube everything as well. And having a buddy around really does help on a job like this.

I really like that you talked aboutvwearing safe shoes!! I am trying to fix my '95 Astrovan door.the pin jeeps popping out of place. I am thinking I should check the slider bar abd other parts of the door, clean and replace everything that's dirty and worn-out. I saw a few videos. In one, a guy used a piece of wood on a jack to as his "helper". Thanjs very much for all your mechanical safety tips.

Thanks, I now I have a bit of a clue of what needs to be done, my top roller came off my handicap door/with ramp, causing me to be stuck in the van for hours till someone heard me yelling for help, fire department came and got me out, thanks again

I bought a kia sedona with similar sliding doors, however the passenger door although closes and locks seems to have a gap big enough on the rear door to body work.... does this mean the door needs adjusting

I wish our vans doors where manual. The Windstar auto door openers are very resistive and make the sliding doors hard to open and close when you have the switch turned off.

I REALLY wish one of you that made these videos showed and explained INSTALLING the door. I have just installed a new door but it is having a problem. When shut, if you try to open it again it will open about 3 cm then be stuck and will only open if you lift the back of the sliding door (opposite side of the handle) a bit and lift it over whatever it is getting stuck on. Please help !!! If you can. I would like to make my grand mothers door work decently smooth. If u can give me a tip thank you so much in advance

I really enjoyed your video it was a big help but when I went to place the door on my van ( 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan) the mechanics on the bottom were not the same. I bought a replacement door from a junk yard and it was labeled a 2006 so it should have matched and the mechanics were the same as your van in the video. Can you tell me what year your van is?

I hAVE NO rear slider door, i have a slider door on each side, and a tailgate... no rear slider anything.
