A lot of people don't realize that I wrote & produced the duet version, played all the instruments on it & sang the majority of the vocals. I think due to Peyton Parrish not including my video footage in the music video on his KZfaq channel (he only included the visuals of himself), people get confused and think it was all him. So, due to it being mostly my work in the first place, there isn't a huge difference in overall sound here but there is a somewhat different feel to the song's mood with just my voice alone. After the events of the last year, I personally prefer it this way and I know a lot of fans will too, as you were the ones who requested this. This version also lets me actually enjoy the song myself. Enjoy! Big luv ❤🤘 Gav

@GaisaSanktejo he's from the same place I am (Cork), and we don't see too many stupidly talented people come from our county but we have been blessed with a few like Roy Keane, Cillian Murphy, Sonia O'Sullivan to name a few, and Gav is honestly up there with them in my eyes for his love of music and creating music that makes you FEEL it, y'know? He's a fellow man of the Rebel County, and it's always closer to home when one of your own is fighting🫡. He's a good lad, and he doesn't deserve what he's going through and having to fight ao hard to prove this amazing piece of music is his. Peyton needs to do better😮‍💨🫡🇮🇪

I am a swedish viking. It is a bit ironic that I hate the sea. It is a deep fear to go down by a kraken or a sea serpent. The fear of the sea is just as deep as the deepest part of the Mariana Trench.

I have been wanting to see the throat singing on video since the first version with any video of singing. That's the bit that gets the shivers going. I personally like that original version better but a lot of people prefer the harsher more metal versions. So for those few that don't now or are being mislead into believing that Gav didn't write the song. This kind of hammers that home.

I’m so very happy that you allowed VoicePlay to cover this. Otherwise I most probably would have missed out on learning about you and the songs you have written. This is SO stirring and wonderfully done, although I admit that I really like the version you did that used the game footage, too. I’m not usually big on ‘metal’. But then, I do not find this version as ‘screamy’ as metal often feels to me. Instead, it is more about the drums and war horn with a true chant vibe to it. Love it and much of your other work as well.
