Finally finshed i had alot of fun but theres a reason i dont draw 3 characters/versions in ine video XD but lila was worth it also miraculous knowledge is small when it comes to lila and sometimes i forget shes even there but season 5 was actually pretty fun for the most part

I like the idea of Lila being a mimicking pretender without standing out as a carbon copy regarding style and behavior, especially considering mimicking is a very useful yet strongly disliked skill.

Oh my god, your banter regarding Lila's real look and how anyone would be dumb enough to not recognize her reminded me of that leaked storyboard. The original storyboard had her video calling the Professor, and the Professor commented that she looked familiar and feel like he met her before, and she retorts that it's a common compliment of her and her family that everyone thinks they know them before. The final version completely removes this and changed the video call into a voice call.

I like Monarch for her- But I was also thinking of the name Painted Lady- a type of butterfly that has a similar color scheme. I think it also fits her because it's like she "paints" herself disguises! I LOVE her design, though!

I think they dropped the ball with Lila, because we could have gotten a lot of development and info after the season 3 finale aka Chloe’s downfall, but because SOMEONE has a hate boner for Chloe we got over fed with her. I personally went from liking her and seeing potential, to “please get her out of the screen, you killed her already! Give this time to Lila!”

Honestly if Lila was well written and lied and manipulated her way into getting all the miraculous like felix did I feel like she would be a way more well received and respected villain. Right now everyone in the fandom dislikes her and calls her Lie La and she gets shit in by the writers too, I’d love to see her be a more mysterious and doesn’t work for either side character like felix who’s only chasing their own goals and gets it done with style. It would be soo cool for her to have an it was Agatha all along moment. I LOVE that her villain design is a moth mimicking a butterfly that’s literally so cool and symbolic it definitely fits her. I also LOVE short hair Lila she looks so much better love an edgier sharper pixie cut after getting rid of that awful wig and terrible bangs. An amazing design as always love this so much. For some reason I thought the silhouette of lilas monarch transformation was a volpina redesign lol but I actually already love volpina the way she is so I’m glad we got the monarch design instead it’s really amazing.

19:53 I thought that since Lila is a kid and hasn’t had experience using a real miraculous, at first she would be stuck with the time-limit, but she found out how to by-pass it and later was using just as often as Gabriel did, and since we saw now, with the new special, that by-passing the security time limit makes the person sick, Lila could be starting to get sick, which would help with the pity factor she uses to get people to like her

i haven't watched the newest season yet (netflix sucks) but all the spoilers ive heard about lila are batshit insane. she went from being a pathological liar to some supervillian mastermind??? im terrified of her

I'd love to see you do a redesign for Nathanial and Marc! They're definitely some of my favorite of the more background characters. Also Marc looks so much like a genderbent Marinette that would have been so fun to see delved into. (I dropped off mid season 3 so am not sure if they've done more with the boys or not)

Really like you redesign of Lila. But I find Lila an interesting villain character and want to learn more about her because when she first reduces herself, we see her lying toward everyone be with Adrian, only for Marianette to ruin her chances to be with him. The fact that people are really blinded by her lies (even Marinette's only friend Alya). Plus she used to work with Gabriel and now she got the peacock miraculous, to be the next hawkmoth and hopefully to get new flesh start in season 6.

Anyway, the wait was worth it, you definitely blew our minds with your redesign of Lila Rossi/Cerise/Unknown, I have lots to say about her character. I read Harriyanna Hook’s blog post about her back in February, and she thought Lila was an obsessive fangirl, and had a theory that she had been following Adrien before the series, he’s famous worldwide; she didn’t go to the school until he did, we see she’s lies to gain attention, even willing to obtain with her pathological lying. Convincing Adrien to let her come to his home, snooping around his bedroom when he lets her inside and follows him and his friends around, Gabriel allows her to become an undercover spy to 'protect' Adrien, as a reward she becomes the female model of the Gabriel brand, and now closer to Adrien. The existence of Lila in Paris is because of Adrien; she’s from Italy (it might be a lie)! One of her mothers was willing to move them both to another country; then again, she lies to her. Probably came up with an excuse for why she wanted to go to school in Paris, and it so happens to be the school that the famous person she’s obsessed with attends. She’s like Yolanda Saldívar, the woman who murdered Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, Selena was friendly towards this fan, so she took her kindness as a weakness by creating a fan club for embezzling money from her, fan club members, and boutiques. When Selena put her foot down with the fan’s behavior, Yolanda felt betrayed when she was clearly in the wrong. Her obsession with Selena got worse when Selena made it obvious she no longer wanted anything to do with her; she killed Selena because of her hurt. You are right, she could have a greater antagonist than unreformed Chloé, she’s a manipulation, master of disguise, and knows sign language too, but the creator just made her disappear from time to time. Until season 5, when started to be an actual character to worry about, she controls Chloé from the shadows, three mothers who don’t know about the others (when I saw the second mother, I thought she was her aunt), and she’s been disguise wearing this whole time! I fucking hate how writers have written Lila/Cerise/Unknown, her lies are ridiculous and absurd, she has no 'proof' to elaborate what she claims to be, she lies as 5 year old, and her lies Jagged Stone wrote a song about her, knows all of the Hollywood directors, and has a friendship with Prince Ali, WHERE’S THE PROOFS?! And everyone’s IQ is 0, INCLUDING MARINETTE’S BFF ALYA THAT KNOWS HER SECRET IDENTITY, WHAT THE FUCK ALYA?! Now let’s talk about your redesigned Lila, your idea to have her research Adrien’s classmates to mimic the ones who are close to him Chloé, Alya, and Marinette. You gave her your redesigned Alya’s glasses, headband, and pants, redesigned Chloé’s overlap top long sleeves, crop bodice, and shoes, and you didn’t redesign Marinette yet, but you added personality into her disguise to have the class like her as they with Marinette. You made her fake persona something more to Adrien’s liking, I still think she needs to come up with a better name for her disguise. The hints you gave about her actual self, the wig color, and the nails, I like that you got rid of her two shorter pieces, made her wig a high ponytail, and kept her loosely tied. To be honest I thought the silhouette of her fake civilian attire was a redesign of Volpina. Your redesigned Cerise gave her half sleeve black shirt with a relaxed neckline, and loose black chains, and kept the leather jacket but made it red as hated for Ladybug and when she was Hoaxer, along with her beautiful messy pixie cut that has a blonde streak just to add her rebellious attitude and personality without being notices. Now when you give Cerise a high-waist skirt that’s based on your redesigned Nathalie, they’re both the same ridiculously smart and sadistic joy in fooling the heroes. So yeah, I think she’ll grow up to be a ruthless version of Nathalie. Great job of resizing the Butterfly brooch, I hated that it was too tiny. Her villain outfit is one word: WOW! The outfit is based on a moth mimicking a monarch butterfly and your redesigned Gabriel Agreste’s as Lunaire villain outfit, using metaphorically on Unknown is brilliant, and her villain name as Monarch is perfect for her than for Cannon Gabriel. Going back to the outfit it does look regal, with the teardrop dots mimicking a crown, the mask has an elegant and fabulous flair to it, with the huge wings on the brooch make it look flashy, you gave her a fur trim hoodie with an under shawl with monarch wings for the pattern and giant fur sleeves for the literal side of the moth, her neck and the corset belt with little nubs love them. The three-layer skirt is great to represent her bracelets and her three mothers, now having her wear high tiptoe shoes is fabulous. I believe she won't have a time limit, remember what Cannon Alya said? "Your only limits are the ones you put on yourself.", that means she'll expand her limits, true that Cannon Gabriel is dead, but Cannon Adrien still doesn't know that his father and Cannon Monarch are the same person, so it's possible that she'll tell Adrien everything, show him the photos, thus making him realize that Ladybug lie to him, and she'll use the Graham de Vanily Twin Rings to control over Adrien making him her slave. I wanted to thank you for bringing back your Miraculous Redesign Speedpaint, I'm looking forward to seeing more characters' redesign videos.

I honestly feel that Lila will be a short lived villain, and most of the season will be about Emile trying to figure out how the hell she came back to life. I also feel Marinette will struggle not being able to tell Adrien that his father was a villain the whole time.

For your question at the 2 minute mark: it's been implied (confirmed too ig), that Félix is a Sentibeing, meaning that Gabriel could have erased him from existence if he felt like Félix was a threat to him or Adrien. Félix also wanted to be the master of his own freedom, as well as allowing that same freedom to Adrien (and later Kagami), who are also both implied to be Sentibeings too.

Fun fact about my family, whenever we watch miraculous and Lila is on screen we always yell “Kill yourself!”

I could never get on board with Lila because despite fitting the school antagonist far better then Chloe (I always saw her as fitting the rival to friend slot even before Lila showed up) there was a fervent refusal from the writers to not go in that direction and it’s not because of lack of experience on the writers I looked some of them up they should have been experienced enough to pick up on this an adjust the story. I do think it makes sense for her to be the next villain but it was definitely a messier journey to get there then it needed. I do like your designs especially her monarch forms having evil miracles users be more monster looking is very magical girl and I approve. The show always seemed to try and mix superhero and magical girl but always seemed to lean more superhero.

Those designs are so good. Cerise is the best Lila from the show, for real! Regarding Lila true goal, I agree with you. Like, we dont know what she wants. I have a theory that she only wants power, but who know. That's why I have chance her reasons in my version, and made it conected with the butterfly miraculos, to her actions make more sense.

In the new shadybug claw our thing it tells us that using a miraculous for evil over rides the time limits

Akumas stay transformed after the Butterfly holder detransforms so Lila could Akumatize someone and then detransform, thus giving her an alibi because no one would think the Butterfly holder would transform just to Akumatize someone and it might lead to anger directed against the heroes since Monarch should've been defeated and the Akumas would likely be more destructive without someone holding them back - there were some more peaceful Akumas (well, peaceful compared to the others) but since Lila/Cerise is mad at Ladybug She'll likely aim to discredit her and avoid less destructive Akumas like Evilistrator who's destruction was basicly just aimed at lb and cn because they were defending Chloe and all things considered no one would defend her too. But hey, thats just a theory!
