Күн бұрынWelcome to Part 15: Miraculous TORMENT, in which Marinette and Alya, after a morning of unforeseen circumstances, have to deal with some unresolved hostility by their bully and rival, Chloe.

Miraculous Ladybug is a show with fundamental issues and its canon origin for the characters does not escape from being problematic. So out of my disappointment, and with a sprinkle of inspiration, I rewrote the origin story into something I think would be more enticing as a show. I think this version works out some of the frustration that the current iteration of the show has including giving Master Fu and Cat Noir reasons for existing, doing away with the love square as soon as possible, providing the opportunity for stakes that actually matter, making Gabriel more interesting, and actually connecting Gabriel to Marinette. Are all of these things necessary to make Miraculous Ladybug better? No! The current elements of the show are mostly fine, the execution just needs some help. Nevertheless, I tampered with the story anyway =P

I really hope after this Adrien stops trying to defend Chloe regarding her actions towards Marinette, Alya and Nino. This is something that bugs me on a personal level. While he is more than welcome to try to help Chloe be a better person, offer help if she needs it, and still love her; at this point he really has no excuse. People you love can do bad things (he should know this by now because of his father), Adrien especially has a serious obligation to chew her out. Plus he knows now that Alya used to be Chloe’s best friend, like he is currently, so he should take that into consideration in analyzing Alya’s feelings towards Chloe. Also I think when Chloe sees that she truly lost everything, she can truly be able to see that SHE is the problem in this situation and be able to grow from it, bettering herself. At this point we don’t know what exactly Marinette did to Chloe if at all, since memories can be altered in our own minds to make things worse than are they are (I have no doubt about her mom being nasty tho). So until we get that, Chloe doesn’t have a leg to stand on. This video has made me very angry and frustrated, so you did a fantastic job! I love it so far! I can’t wait to see where this goes next ❤❤

The way Mari stood up to herself towards Chloe and the slap to the face Alya gave Chloe at the end, man these stories leave me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next! Marinette spoke her truth, preach Fr man! Chloe's words at the end only deflect back onto herself. She hates herself she wish she never existed, at least that's what it sounds like. Also Alya with the slap, that was personal right there. I was just waiting and rooting for the hit, it was only a matter of time. While I understand Adrien keeping his secrets, I think it could be neat for him to open up to Chloe about learning his dad is Hawkmoth. The idea of coming to terms with someone important to him being someone who causes so much harm, and him not wanting to experience the same with chloe

I wish this couldve happended in a less... Public way... This really shot up my social anxiety to a max. OKAY THAT WAS ALOT- So first things first- Despite EVERYTHING, I don’t think Chloe did most/any of this. Even in this re-write, Chloe doesn’t give off the air of being smart enough to (cleanly) break into a locker or sabotage a faucet. I have my doubts about the paint and flour though. And the color of the ooze could be so that it would be easy to blame Chloe since she loves the color yellow. AND she’s been avoiding Adrien ever since that akuma incident so she wouldn’t want to associate with any of Adrien’s friends and mind her business. I call cap on this and I think it’s probably Lila. But that begs the question on if Lila is a student there if she broke into the school and purposely tried to frame Chloe for whatever reason. OR if Chloe worked with Lila and this ultimately backfired on her. But regardless, until we get a clear confession from Chloe, I’m not completely convinced it was her. But even if this wasn’t Chloe, she’s still Marinette’s bully so Marinette’s speech was still well deserved and was a long time coming. And if this wasn’t Chloe, the fact that Marinette and Alya would blame Chloe should be a wake up call for her because her just laughing at them is enough for even ADRIEN to be convinced that it was her. Also props for Adrien for finally calling Chloe out as well. In the show, it took him 4 seasons to finally hold Chloe accountable for her misdeeds so I’m glad this Adrien did it sooner. And poor Nino is caught in the middle of this- On to the flashback, It’s obvious Chloe is jealous of Marinette. Having friends and being relatively loved by many. But it goes deeper because Mari also obviously reminds Chloe of Zoe and the jealousy that festers from her because Chloe’s mom loves Zoe but not her. I like how we’re allowed to feel for Chloe but also get catharsis for Marinette by her finally standing up to her. Last but not least: The ending. I’m going to be in the minority but Alya was in the wrong for this. Chloe was obviously having a mental breakdown and slapping someone who’s having a breakdown is cruel and kinda abusive. It doesn’t matter if Chloe did the pranks or not, the ends don’t justify the means. And if Chloe really didn’t do the pranks, that’s even worse since that would mean Alya was running on her pure rage for Chloe and the ASSUMPTION that she did those pranks. So the slap is even less warranted. Adrien should have calmed her down and took her away but instead he watched her breakdown in front of so many people. So yeah, kinda messed up on Alya’s part (and Adrien’s to an extent) and I hope that slap gets immediately addressed in the next episode. I’m really liking how this is going so far, Aloe! Keep it up!

Wow, i LOVE the development and the drama you're doing! That slap at the end? FENOMENAL! But just something i want to say, i think that we could have more interactions with the kwamis, for exemple, Tikki would be helping Alya to chear up Marinette, while Trixx would be dying her self of laughing of the pranks, and Plagg be making the situation worse like teling Adrien "I think you should cataclysm that Chloe girl ya know" and then Adrien be like in the series reprehending Plagg (Plagg would be also laughing at the pranks along with Trixx). But regardlees, your AU is fantastic, keed going, your work is really good.

Good episode, but I still dont know why Alya hates Chloe. My desire for being some type of racism is still here even if probably isnt. And, I dont think Chloe did anything of this and the person who was talking to marinette on this flashback may be alya, but i will have to rewatch cats episode to see their ages. In general good episode and the slap was cool but uncalled

I love marinette standing up for her self side eyeing alya rn mostly because we dont have the full story (the slap was uncalled for in my opinion) and if chloe runs away after this and adrian does nothing im truly will be disappointed in him P.s i pretty sure chloe didn't do any of this btw because she mostly been trying to stay away from the gang( I feel like you're setting up for Lila and I like it)

For a second I was hoping it would be Kim since we know him to be a kinda bully but it’s equally as fitting for Chloe who’s seeing yet another friend being “taken” from her no real allies and neglectful parents. Doesn’t excuse her behavior though still she deserve that slap. The drama!

I'm really grateful for the summaries at the start of the videos. I know you put a lot of effort in this project, but because of the 1st person viewpoint I couldn't really watch the previous one. I tried a couple of times, but I can't immerse myself into the story like that. I know some other viewers liked it, so I wouldn't blame you for doing something like that again. I just hope the recaps stay.

Do you think it would have been possible to use the canon show's story, had it received better writing ? I won't deny that while this story is good, a part of me will always wish the canon show could have used the story it had, but better structured. Other than this little personal rant of mine, keep up the good work.
