Welcome to Part 19: Miraculous Family Affairs, In which Chloe and Alya have to deal with the aftermath of their conflict once they leave the school. They are met with very similar, and yet VERY different reactions. Did someone else find out about it somehow? What will this mean for them going forward?

Miraculous Ladybug is a show with fundamental issues and its canon origin for the characters does not escape from being problematic. So out of my disappointment, and with a sprinkle of inspiration, I rewrote the origin story into something I think would be more enticing as a show. I think this version works out some of the frustration that the current iteration of the show has including giving Master Fu and Cat Noir reasons for existing, doing away with the love square as soon as possible, providing the opportunity for stakes that actually matter, making Gabriel more interesting, and actually connecting Gabriel to Marinette. Are all of these things necessary to make Miraculous Ladybug better? No! The current elements of the show are mostly fine, the execution just needs some help. Nevertheless, I tampered with the story anyway =P

🐸 I appreciate the simultaneous nod and jab at the canon Akuma with that made up one the friends came up with xD Awww, it's equally adorable and heartbreaking to see how good friends little "Lya" and "Loé" used to be, to the point where Marlena cared for Chloé more than her own mother did. 🥲 Sounds like the breakup of that friendship must've been pretty ugly too from that tease. It's probably going to take a whole, WHOLE lot of time and healing for it to happen, but I genuinely hope those two can eventually forgive each other and begin anew. After all, there still seems to be some care left there. Honestly, you are so good at writing these emotional storylines and making us care for them! Not to mention how the plot progresses steadily but you simultaneously leave more questions open to keep us curious and invested. Very well crafted, miss Aloe. 😌👏✨️

🐸 1. You took the entire finale of season 4 and made into a lie to save Alya. That’s hilarious- 2. It’s kinda messed up Chloe still had to face her parents while Alya got off Scott free (besides the school punishments). But it goes to show how alone Chloe is. She doesn’t have many friends to stick their necks out for her like Alya does. But based on the ending, maybe that promise Alya made to Chloe will come furition. Like I said, she obviously still cares about her and this episode proved that sentiment isn’t one sided. So MAYBE there’s a chance at rebuilding that friendship, slowly but surely. 3. I don’t have a lot to say about Zoe but she’s still the nice and caring person from the show….which is nice. 4. We’re probably going to get a lot of Luka next episode so I have to mentally prepare myself for that. Keep up the good work, Aloubell!

Maybe they could’ve said to Alya’s parents that Hawkmoth was experimenting and finding a way to speed up his akumatization process by subtly increasing people’s emotional sensitivity. Just a thought. Also, I had another thought after listening to the risky ruse part, I would love to see Marinette and Adrien playing good cop and bad cop if possible. Anyway, amazing writing as always!

The flashbacks were very heartwarming, but also heartwrenching. I can’t wait for the next part. I also hope that we’ll find out about the Miraculous holder from Japan soon. Also, the lie that they pulled off was basically the frog plot from season 4 finale was very cool.

🐸 Yet again, you did a really good job with the character writing and... Wait... I know that art?!? I did that art! Yo! Thanks for drawing my OC! She looks awesome! In all seriousness, the back and forth between Chloé and her mother was very well done. You did an excellent job with the voices in the call. I always struggled with doing different voices when running my D&D campaigns. They tend to blend into each other or get reused over and over again 😅 I look forward to seeing what happens next.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this part! I know it was pretty long and I anticipated it being longer, but for now it's just the third longest part of BBF XD There were SO many voices in this one. What was it...FIFTEEN VOICES?!?!?! Oh my goodness I didn't even realize I had to voice that many people in this one XD I only have like...3 or 4 voices I can comfortably use so this was a DOOZY lol In any case, your OC was fun to draw! Another great part as always. I love how we are deep diving into Alya and Chloe's childhood friendship and how Alya's mother suspects about Chloe's less than exceptional home life. Also, I got a genuine chuckle from "By the way, Ms. Bustier knows about our secret identities" *ends call* Now I'm expecting Mari AND Adrien to confront Ms. Bustier about her knowledge of the situation and inadvertently outing himself as Chat Noir (and adding that his father is Hawk Moth). I feel it would not only akumatize her or realistically getting fired for concealing four students superhero identities.

I am loving this series Miraculous beyond faith❤ I love this series is one of my favourite series. I want to give us some recommendations if you are gonna make another episode I would love to see some of these.. Can you please give Zoe character development or just depth about her character. The show didn't give her any character development and just left her in the dust. She is just a nice character which is ok give her some other qualities you know. I know you are a Chloe fan and I am kinda in the between. Don't get me wrong I don't think didn't didn't deserve that failed redemption arc. And I do like Zoe as a character may be.... All there is to say I would love to see some new character development for Zoe it is unfair to give one character a lot of development and make her interesting(Chloe )and the other character to just leave in the dust (zoe) I think all of us can agree Chloe had more character an interesting plot points than Zoe.

The next episode is going to be so fun for me i just know it. I am so happy by the update of today. This episode was so emotional yet so cute and funny at the same time. I loved it. I live for Alya being a troll and such a fun yet caring character. As for chloe I love her so much she just gets better and better each time. I loved Adrien here too his interaction with plagg just so adorable. I liked Adrien being positive about his father being hawk-moth but i want to see more of the conflicted part in him as well. Anyways I just love all of the characters all of them have so much personality and feel like actual people. Edit: I also like Nino here. He made such a silly and funny yet brilliant plan. And the scene of executing the plan was just hilarious and Chatnoir i love his sense of humour.

So Zoe Lee is basically like Olga; Helga's sister from Hey Arnold. She loves her little sister to pieces but she's oblivious to how her mother treats her. Or, maybe, she notices somewhat, and is _slightly_ envious, because she sees that her mother doesn't put as much pressure on Chloe to be "exceptional" as she puts on Zoe herself. I enjoyed the sibling dynamic between Helga and Olga, so I'm excited to see how thing with Chloe and Zoe will play out. So far, I think Chloe along with Alya are my favorite characters in this rewrite.

The frog emoji is peak! 🐸 About the episode itself: I think this was one of the weaker ones. Chloe was without a doubt the highlight, but I think all the stuff about our heroes lying to Alya's family to get her out of that situation went on for a bit too long... and if I'm being honest: The whole plot point about Alya punching Chloe has been going on for a bit too long as well. I understand the impact (Get it?) of that event, but spending four episodes on that feels a little dragged out. I still like the sequence, especially with the contrast between overly nervous Ladybug and Cat Noir, the master of improvisation, that was very funny. However, I just wanted to share my criticism as well.

Same tbh but I grew to like it because it shows how small stuff that normally are resolved quickly in stories actually matter and realistically won't get resolved quickly. I mean realistically if a situation like that actually happened especially with famous people like Chloe it would last this long. Also this part showed important characterisation of the characters like Alya,Chloe,Adrien and so much more. This part made me remember that these characters actually have lives outside of their superhero lives and are STILL teenagers. This part also showed so many vulnerable parts of Chloe that i love and I think in the next episode we will see chloe being more vulnerable and human which is amazing. But ultimately I get your point I just wanted to share my opinion about it too but ultimately I get your criticism.

Alou i have a question though. I understand why Alya lied her away out of this but I don't understand why she didn't tell her parents what Chloe did? Why didn't she tell them that Chloe bullied Marinette and she was defending Marinette? And as for the last call scene it seems Marinette,Adrian,Alya and Nino were able to hear and see the kwamis so does that mean technology does have an effect on them in your story?

Alya either didn't think it would help the situation, didn't want to further throw Chloe under the bus, OR she was too occupied by the plan/too tired to talk about the days events again that she didn't consider doing that. LB and Cat also showed up before she had a chance to say anything. So...it's up to your interpretation! As for the kwamis, yes, in this story they can be detected by technology~

@@TheArtisticAloubell I would like to think she did care about Chloe enough that she wanted her to keep Chloe 's good image infront of her parents. I mean Alya is still considerate of Chloe even when she doesn't need to be(and same for Chloe.). Plus I would like to think of it as Alya caring for Adrien as well to not tell her parents about Chloe and her behaviour.(I am imagining if she told her friends she was planning to tell her parents the truth Adrien wouldn't like it so she thought of him. And Alya does acknowledge how important Chloe is to Adrien that she even shows more empathy and less annoyance towards Chloe infront of Adrien) Thanks for your answers. I am so excited to see luka in the next episode.(I am assuming he will show up in the next episode considering what you showed us in this episode)
