A simpler way, I have a paint palette filled with scraped off pastel from pastel sticks. This works great for large areas, I lightly apply the dust with soft brushes and distribute the dust with a soft paper towel/sofft tool. The dust also works great for flowers. I also use the dust with colored pencils, great for flower centers. Green is notoriously hard to work with with colored pencils (leaves), I use the green dust as an undercoat for colored pencil. .

Oh, these are pastel pencils. Much better for landscape than colored pencils.

It proves that kohinoor gioconda pastel pencils from Czech is one of d very best. Only thing is they are only 48 no pencils. Wish, they could market 90 pencils like carandache. Ur art is impressive. Pls mention d paper u used. Pastelmat? UART? Canson mi teintes Touch? Plz mention. Regards.

Just regular drawing paper. I don't have sanded paper.

But overall I find different types of pastel pencils are used, not only kohinoor Gioconda. May be some r local made. But it is very good and satisfying. Thank u so much.
