Dan, re the trouser leg ties, that was the way the 82nd had them sewn on. As you know 101st had them in to the trouser seam.

I bought an ATF M42 and I honestly this the WW2 impressions jacket is more accurate.

Whilst I am not saying that the WW2 imps are not authentic or not. The prices they charge are unjustifiably ludicrous. On top of that, the appalling website photos and then my own experience with their "don't give a fuck attitude to customer service", I personally wouldn't recommend this company if their M42s were made by the original people, made from original cloth and worn by original paratroopers. However, each to their own. They could be the most authentic, the only set I've seen of theirs was a huge let down and even the guy who purchased it couldn't wait to get rid of it and put it up for sale a few days later.

I own a original M42 jacket and the WW2 Impressions cotton twill is as close to the original as you can get. You can own 4 knock off suits or one authentic reproduction. Not all M42's were cc2 treated, 504th Market Garden for example but you probably wouldn't know that. I ordered a M42 jacket from ATF and sent it back. The twill looks cheap and they are cut for fat guys or the modern man size lol

The material could be as close as you can get, but for the price, I'd not want something that is falling apart when I got it! Their customer services is soo bad I wouldn't ever deal with them again. I had a problem with one of their items and was basically told to go away as it was my problem and not theirs! Piss poor attitude for any company to have.

The reinforcement material on the ATF jacket is sewn on too even and just too perfect. That’s the most obvious thing I saw on my jacket.

The leg ties on his jumpsuit is the canvas ones more often seen on 82nd Airborne jumpsuits. If he wants to do 100 and worst (101st) then he needs the cloth ties.

Not into the politics of all this , However I’m in search of a shirt like you have on , where could I get one that’s A-pretty accurate B-The price won’t gut me like a fish , seen a couple of sites selling similar and nearly went into cardiac arrest when I saw the price !

Yeah tell me about it, why do some shirts prices require a small mortgage. The one I have on is a cheap Miltec one from SOF, they don't seem to do that run anymore which is a real shame as the material was really soft.
