My second video filmed today on a back to back mission! No idea who sent me this video link, apologies to whom ever did! I was confused for a few seconds until the penny dropped!
I'm sure I will get some hate from the Bando clan, again, oh well.
He makes some very good points that we've mentioned a 100 times before, however, so many people just ignore all advice given. Cough cough... 'airborne re-enactors' cough cough...
some great snippets in the video of real attention to detail and really living the life of their impression! Fantastic. As the video is good, sadly you don't get me being a total arsehole today... I'm sure it will come soon. Keep sending in those links to videos, let me know of anything relevant in the hobby that needs sharing.

Hey! Stumbled upon this video this evening, and I just wanted to say thank you for the positive feedback on my video! I'm glad you found it funny, enjoyable and informative at the same time. I enjoyed your video on my video, and will definitely watch some more. Happy to see another reenactor interested in doing it right! Btw, the frozen meat scene was from a 10 day field winter event in -10/-20 below freezing sleeping in a cramped bunker with little food and sleep. The last 2 days the field event turned into a battle with a large group of soviets.. it was constant fighting both day and night, with probes or large scale attacks. We spent 2 whole days static in our fighting positions (which we named the Alamo) with no sleep. I even managed to get minor frostbite on my feet to the point that my feet got so swollen that I threw away my boots that became too tight and continued on defending the Alamo for another several hours wearing just my socks - stupid yes, but a very memorable experience. After 10 days in "extreme" conditions, "sleeping" in a bunker, with little or no food, wearing and only using correct equipment, really gets you into the Zone for sure. An unbelievable and miserable experience. The only thing you have to rely upon is the fellow next to you. Watching out for one another.. In order to receive the "frozen meat" award (eastern front medal) is to go through the "same" miserable stuff they did back then. You have to spend 60 days and nights out in Sub-Zero temperatures, 14 days in "combat" or frostbite so severe that it would warrant the issue of a wound badge. The awards, if any, should represent something, and not be handed out easily. One of the most rewarding aspects I find with re-enacting is that when you read or talk to veterans about their experiences, or even if you watch a movie - you understand and can relate to the practical and fundamental part of what is was like to be a soldier back then - to some greater extent. It's almost like a 4D experience, especially if you have visited the exact area the story took place, in the sense that you get a sense of the landscape and distances etc. It's a wonderful important and rewarding hobby! Ps. Sorry for rambling on and on. 😅 Merry Christmas and best regards from Norway! 🇧🇻🤗

Praise is always given when we see something worthy and WOW!!! You guys need some praise... just proving I'm not an arsehole all the time. For us in MissDrop44, we do our best to get everything as visually authentic as possible. Of course there is a the realms of sanity to contend with! WOW, major kudos for the suffering endured in the snow and getting frostbite! possibly attempting to get gangrene is maybe taking the aspect of living history a bit too far ;) but as you say, it gives you a very different view on thing... it wasn't just the enemy that was out to kill you or make you suffer. I've always loved talking to veterans and had the pleasure of talking to quite a few when returning over 500 British Army dog-tags back to veterans and families. I felt very luck to met them in their homes and listen to them talk about their experiences. Sadly as they die off I got invited to attend funerals by the families. Very humbling experience. Keep at great work and if you put up any other great videos, please let me know so I can see!

Cheers matey, that comment really made me laugh. I don't pick the videos, I just play what I get sent, so if you do feature then its not my fault... honest. Plus, not all the videos I watch contain bad stuff, some have contained some really good impressions.

Lol love the content. I’m sure I will be popping up there one day. I have several vids up. I have seen some horror vids too…honestly one or two events on my page were not that great lol! Keep it up brother! It’s nice to get a chuckle even if it is at yourself from time to time. The video I just posted hopefully will not hit. It was more of a WWII reenactor boredom comedy outing.
