INDIA won Miss Universe for the first time this day in 1994, It will forever remain my life's greatest pride & honour to be the face of history for my country!!! My gratitude to the PHILIPPINES for their unwavering sense of love & belonging for over 2 decades now...also for being my second home!! :) I wish you all an unapologetic life, where you uphold your uniqueness & nurture the power of 'I AM'.

Madam is an incorrect term. It should be mam. Madam is a term that is used to address a women who runs a brothel. But surprisingly MADAM term is extensively used in India to address and show respect towards women....it needs to be highlighted.

I was really touched when you opened up about Miss Philippines giving you her earrings to wear on the final night that eventually became your lucky winning pair. How many of us even remember such small things done by others that changed our life? I have seen people forgetting other's kindness the moment they achieve something. Today if I or any random person knows about Charlene's selflessness it's because of you. Miss Universe's are crowned every year, but it's queens like You who truly define what a true lady is. I can't even express how much I love and adore you Ma'am.

The girl who won miss universe at the age of 18 ,the girl who adopted a child at the age of 24,so much of social work that you do ,u as a whole showed us true meaning of feminism.......u r my role model and I hope some day I will also adopt a child...

When I was small me and my family used to watch your movies every Sunday . Though I respect parents but they are humans and they can be wrong at times. And dear you mother gave you a wrong advice. You can study you can get the best job on planet and all the money and any women who comes in your life because of that would be a gold digger.........and u may be able to have that women but never her love..........making a women to offer love is not taught in academic books....so your mother was wrong......and I mean all the respect but it's true.

This is where you came by not backing out from Miss India 1994 fearing Aishwarya. No shade, both of you are queens in your own way, however the one made for the universe (both yours and India's first) will always be you.
