Leigh, you have such a unique personality, I wonder if you realize. Watching you with such a positive (but not superficial positive, where we pretend problems don’t exist) outlook on life is so so so inspiring. Love seeing Lucy and Sam together; Sam is adorable, but the thing that struck me is it almost seemed to me that he understands that he needed to be gentle with Ms Lucy! You could also see the excitement on Lucy’s face just being with Sam! I can see a special relationship with the two of them moving forward!

When I started to watch your channel, it was about makeup and beauty. Then the journey to have a baby, your pregnancy and when sweet Lucy came into the world. What I really admire about you and Grant is the way you focus on all of the things Lucy can do. The way you interact with Lucy is really beautiful. 😊You are an inspiration to families with children who have some limitations. Keep up the great work!!!

As a fellow disabled person and advocate it is so heartwarming and interesting to see your families journey with disabilities. I was actually at the Houston Abilities Expo on Saturday! You are right, the Abilities Expo is like a whole other world which can be exciting but intimidating. I'm so glad you all got to spend time with the community in that way!

Ohmygosh your daughter is a ray of sunshine! I can't wait to see what she has in store. And your sister Mary has just the most beautiful family. I know she's always been a little bit camera shy but if you could just relay a message I'm sure others will agree with, if you've been here for a long time we got to see you fly to her wedding and then announced that she was pregnant and go from being a new mom of one to a mother of three. When my kids were little, I used to say to myself “an object in motion stays in motion”…it’s so true!! As soon as I sat down after dinner/bed time, nothing got done!! You did the right thing to keep moving!! Lucy is so beautiful and full of life and love…just like her Momma🥰

Here’s a tip for when you’re not sure if you want to add something to a drawing or if you’re trying to decide where to place the eyes, etc.: use a sheet of tracing paper. You can see the original image through it and see the addition of eyelashes that you’ve drawn on the tracing paper and see if you like it without actually changing the original piece! If you do like it, add the eyelashes. You can also make a copy of the original piece and try out any adjustments on the copy before adjusting the original piece.

Lucy's cracking me up at the end. She was trying to test the limits. I love that she was playing with her foot and then you have her put it down but tried to do it again and did it while looking straight at you. Her face had a sneaky little look on it. I love seeing your vlogs and watching Lucy progress. She is so beautiful and so smart. I know it isn't the same but my son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 11, just 2 months shy of his 12th birthday. It was a complete shock. A whirlwind of learning that life was changing but also not changing. He is an athlete and was afraid he would have to quit sports. Of course he didn't. He is now 18, 2 months shy of his 19tu birthday and celebrating his 7th Diaversary today. He starts college on Monday. He is my one and only child and it is just him and I and my mother. The reason why I bring up his T1D is to share that I understand the conferences and wanting to learn all you can and getting to meet other families who understand what you go through on a daily basis. We loved them. They helped so much.

I really think your (and Lucy's) hard work is paying off. I know it is harder for her than other kids her age, but her expressions seem very aware and I think she's a bright little girl. I think she understands you erfectly fine and it's only a matter of time when you can communicate well with each other. You're the best mom that Lucy could ever have and everything you do makes a difference.

This is my first vlog I’ve watched since you started vlogging again. I love Lucy! 1) As a SpEd para I’d totally geek out at an expo like that! (Totally googled it to see if there was a PNW one) 2) I think she knew she was hitting “yes” on her talker. Went back to rewatch that clip and she “tracked”, her eyes moved to find that “yes”. She’s smart and totally aware of what’s going on! She’d be one my favorite students! 3) I know you lightly touched on school, the district I work in has preschool SpEd starting at 3 years old. No idea what it’s like down in Texas and I know that’s a big thing for any parent, public vs private when you’ve already touched on that a lot of her specialist appointments are out of pocket.
