For anyone watching this as June 14th 2022, there is NO new updates on this case other than they FBI coming out and stating they are 99% sure this case will be solved at some point. That is it, so again NO NEW UPDATES, the remains found in 2020 have NOT been confirmed to be that of Crystal's. For what it's worth and in my humble unexprienced opinion it was definitely Brooks and the brother Nick 100% is complicit in the cover up. R.I.P Crystal and Tommy I truly truly hope that the family ESPECIALLY Sherry find the truth, get the justice they so dearly deserve and sooner rather than later, somehow are able to bring Crystal home and lay her to rest properly alongside her beloved Dad.

Hi Kendall, don't know if you know the latest update on this case, but about a month ago a Jason Lawson was arrested on conspiracy to comment murder and tampering with physical evidence, then 2 weeks later Brooks Houck was arrested for conspiracy and the murder of Crystal Roger's., possibly a 3rd will be arrested soon, at Brooks arraignment the prosecuting attorney said they have the gun and testing this gun it is believed to be used in the shooting death of Tommy Ballard, the attorney also said they purchased the gun from Nick Houck and Nick used another name in this transaction, another big thing the prosecuting attorney said is they have proof that members of Brooks Houcks family including his mother taped Brooks Grand Jury hearing he is setting in jail on a 10 million dollar bond and the Judge has refused to lower his bond. I have a feeling Brooks brother will be joining him behind bars soon. Thanks for your coverage. I hope justice can be done for Chrystal and her father Tommy Ballard, SHERRY Ballard deserves to see justice done as the other family members and the Bardstown Community. Thank you for covering Crystal's story. 1:20 2:28

That "great question" response comes from public relations coaching -- though it is just one suggestion he must have heard somewhere. I've heard politicians use it a lot. UPDATE: The FBI has conducted two searches in Bardstown; the first search occurred during August of 2020 and the second was in August of 2021. The second search took place in the Woodlawn Springs subdivision, where Brooks Houck's construction company built several houses shortly after the disappearance of Crystal Rogers. The FBI has not disclosed any details of their findings at this location, but on August 27, 2021, they did announce that an "item of interest" had been recovered from the concrete at one of the homes. During this most recent search, the FBI also stated that they know there are people in Bardstown who have information on this case, and added that it was time for those people to come forward. TLDR - Something of interest was found where Brooke's construction company built houses. FBI know people know what happened and aren't saying!

He’ll never know his Mom, siblings or that side of the family! I would fight that ruling! My brother passed away in 2012 & my parents were given his rights. In Tennessee there’s Grandparents rights when the parent passes away like in my Mom & Dads situation. My Mom actually got sole custody of my niece and nephew. I am a military child, and around my late 8th grade year (2016 ish) we moved to Kentucky. We loved going to bardstown (it truly is beautiful). I remember starting to get into true crime, and I kept seeing the signs around town “help find crystal Rogers”. It was so sad. November of my senior year (2020-2021) we moved away from Kentucky to live overseas. No updates. No nothing. To this day, I still try to keep updated on the case. I specifically remember during my sophomore year, as a student of North Hardin, I had a law and justice class, and one of the tv channels did a special on this case. We watched it in class and I wish there was way more we could do to close this case. Get closure. Everyone around Bardstown seemed to really miss her. This is one of the cases that most definitely pushed me to want to study criminology. It reminds me that no matter where you are, or who you are… it could be you. I hope we get more answers soon.

Really !??? Oh Wow... thanks for the update.... In this particular video here.....that phone call he got from his brother during the interrogation was TOTALLY STAGED . You can tell by his brothers reaction by how he is repeating what his brother says out loud and very theatrical . He is playing it up as the victim by saying " They are trying to help me" the entire phone call was planned and rehearsed.. Any one agree ????

Her dads “hunting accident” is WAY too coincidental. He was getting too close on their tracks and Brooks and or his brother took him out. And Nick’s colleague’s death seems too coincidental as well. Maybe they have a serial killer(s) on their hands in that town. A police officer would be a good cover.

I live an hour away from Bardstown & TRUST ME, this allll is intertwined & was no “coincidence”. Brooks killed Crystal & had his brother help him cover it up Bc he’s a cop... Brooks knew that Nick could help him & that’s why he called him during his interrogation & told him to leave! I’m PRAYING the remains found turn out to be hers. For the families sake so they can get some closure. And that they confess to killing her dad as well as the hit on Jason. It’s all connected. It has to be. 😣

I believe they’re colluding with one another to keep everything hush-hush too. I’m about an hour west of Bardstown. When Crystal’s father was shot in 2016 - that was an Indication that maybe he was on to something and was most likely shot to avoid finding something. When Officer Ellis was killed it dawned on me that it could very well be that he knew something and was going to try to bring something to light about Crystal Rogers’ disappearance and they had him killed. It’s been a little more than five months since they found the remains of the most recent body and they have yet to say if it’s Crystal’s body.

Wait what… they can only use 10 pieces of evidence per case?!? That’s weird asf! I would assume that every case especially severe cases like this, I’d assume they would want as much evidence as possible… even if that means that they have 100 pieces of evidence… that’s weird that they have a limit, especially as small of an amount of evidence, that’s tragic to me!

I live next to Bardstown and the fact that they had multiple unsolved murders in a three year span (the Netherland family, officer Jason Ellis, Crystal Rogers and her dad) is absolutely wild. Edit: Okay I get that things happen! What I meant is that before these crimes the biggest issues I could remember were 1) illegal hunting and 2) meth labs.
