That's exactly what I got from her as well. Like if you think about it she became a mother at like 15 and is about to have her third child at 19 that's a hell of a lot off stress and responsibility on top of school. Sometimes people completely shut off their emotions if they have been called out on it before so they can appear as stronger human beings but if someone does act emotional they're seemed as overly dramatic and seeking for attention.

Dr Phil said that when the mom spoke with somebody in Spanish, her comfortable language, she showed extreme emotion. Hard to get as emotional when you're trying to translate everything while you're talking. Sometimes the least incriminating responses are yes and no. It’s honest and doesn’t usually leave a lot of room for interpretation. I mean she doesn’t look well. And even with the simplicity of yes/no she’s still under a microscope of suspicion. Women get it so bad when it comes to crime. And many mums start judging, everyone would do it differently until it happens to them.

Noema was a child herself. Her decisions and even her emotions are most likely related to her age, lack of experience, shock and disbelief of what happened and a survival instinct to compartmentalism to be able to function. My daughter almost died. I watched her struggle for her life, drove her to a hospital and was with her every second. I was also pregnant and numb and was in disbelief. I was silent, and stoic (so I’m told). Only when they tried to airlift her to a children’s hospital( from the second hospital), did tears roll down my face silently. This was my daughter who I literally fought for her life many times in her life, and was desperate for her to live, but my brain and my emotions were both numb. You honestly can’t judge until you live a nightmare.

She choose to have children. When you make that decision you take another life into your hands. The girl was sitting in her car apparently helping her sister with homework instead of watching her children at a park (very, VERY bad area) I live 30 mins from there. Idc what language what time what hour what country I’m in. If my child is gone for more than 2 minutes I’m gonna start going crazy. My daughters are my life and that’s not a reaction from a mother who would of lost their child. The girl is either mentally unstable, or has something to do with it.

I strongly agree with your comment. I also want to add that she probably doesn't want to show too much emotion due to the fear of others possibly saying things like "Well it was your fault to begin with since you left them alone." Not that I've ever been in a situation like this, but I feel like I would react the same if I knew I was in the wrong. Also, she's a young mom. I'm around the same age the mom would be in right now, and as a 23 year old, I can't imagine what she could be going through. No one teaches you how to be a mom. She was only 19 when this happened. If others are going to assume she's guilty bc of the way she is acting, than I disagree.

It’s so disgusting that people go to playgrounds and steal children. My sister in law and my niece were at a park a few weeks ago and there was a woman screaming for help and two men creeping up behind my niece. I think they thought that my sister in law would leave her daughter and run over to help the woman screaming for help. Thankfully she didn’t. She took her daughter and went to try to help the woman. As soon as she got to the woman who was in her car, she refused to speak. That’s when she saw the 2 men running away. Turns out the two men and the woman knew each other. The cops did nothing! No investigation. No putting out the information about the car or the people to the public. Now this all happened at a small town on cape cod ma. It can happen to anyone. And is extremely scary that the cops did nothing to help. They didn’t even care.

Yes! Also, people need to understand that they don’t necessarily know what the neurotypical response is in these situations because we don’t have easy access to it. Honestly, how many of Kendall’s videos show parents who were deemed to have the “wrong” response? Tons. Unless you lose a child you don’t know. Even then you’re a different human and therefore will have different psychological responses. Idk, it just seems weird to me to judge based on that alone.

Kinda ridiculous that people think it’s suspicious that she’d be eating after her child goes missing. People react to upsetting events in different ways, one of them being by stress eating. And it’s not like eating is some sort of luxury that should be ignored. She needs to eat to survive, thinking that’s evidence that she did something to her child is ridiculous. Maybe she was involved, maybe not. Her eating food while she’s pregnant isn’t evidence that she did something wrong, especially if she ordered a pizza to the search site. It would be different if she skipped the search to go to a fancy restaurant, but a pregnant woman definitely needs food

As someone who constantly gets mistaken for being completely emotionless, this is not some thing that determines guilt. I don't think Dulce's mom was emotionally flat. Just sounds like she struggles speaking English, also, she sounds like a mother who cries her eyes out in private. She seems genuine to me. I don’t know enough to make judgments but I do know enough to know that this very young mother has so many strikes against her already. She lives on a spectrum that none of us do. Thank you for pointing out the cultural component. I'm Mexican too, and this is also what I was thinking. There is a lot of pressure on Mexican women to appear strong, especially in the most stressful situations. Breaking down public might be seen as weak, and therefore the actions of a bad mother and a weak woman. My grandma is Mexican, and it is unspoken taboo to spend time talking about things that make people seem weak. Home remedies are a huge thing because there has been a lack of access to healthcare. 7-Up and Vicks VapoRub is a meme now for a reason. I also knew another lady who had cancer and went straight to her grave without every telling anyone, even her husband and children, because she did not want to be perceived as weak. Nobody had any clue until she was too sick to function. She dies two days later. This doesn't even touch on how cultural differences don't just color how people react, they color our own interpretation of other people's reactions. Somewhere out there, there's a bunch of Mexican ladies who think a white woman sold her missing kid because she's crying and wailing on national television.

I have a weird theory that those letters were sorta written by Dulce. I hope that makes sense. She was 5 when she was taken but most kids do know how to talk, but not to write as well as an adult. But it’s now 2021 so she should be turning 7. I just wonder if she got ahold of paper and was able to describe things around her and send it where people would know of her disappearance? And maybe there are other kids with her who have been kidnapped as well and are able to form better words on paper. I have no idea where I’m going with this, but that was the first thing that came to my mind when the letters were deemed to be not legible. I hope she has a safe return

Her reaction is definitely off but people also have to realize she’s been a mother since she was 13. I’d venture to guess she probably has the mindset/maturity of a 15 year old. Not every child that has a baby “instantly matures to a responsible adult”. She wasn’t even “forced to grow up per say” because her own mother was raising her children. When Dulce went missing Noema was 19, pregnant and living on her own but in this moment was responsible for a 5 year old, a 3 year old, and her little sister (about age 12 I think). Her hands were full and she was inattentive. Until someone proves to me she had something to do with it I’m holding off on passing judgement on her. Another thing to think about is, usually victims of sexual trauma often have trouble showing and expressing emotion. As a police officer I have not yet met a teen who was sexually active at the age of 13 and NOT a victim of sexual trauma. That could explain her immaturity and apparent disassociative mental state! I hope and pray this little one is found safe!
