Same concept but different in a way. I told a guy I don’t do last minute dates and need to be scheduled with at least 3 days in advance. He ignored that and kept asking me like mid day if I’m available later on. I told him twice my boundary, the third time I just politely told him I’m not interested anymore. Just bluntly not give AF about the boundary I set. I’m not a back up plan.

Right, I don't like last minute stuff. I went through that as well. I just met a guy 5 days ago and he asked if he could take me out. So the next day he set up something for Saturday (2 days) from now. That's a week in advance. So it's starting off ok but I just want to enjoy myself and see what he about. The last guy I was dealing with before him never even took me out andi allowed it🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

And that’s such a turn off when they do that. I always tell them I am not the chaser nor am I a masculine woman. OMG!!! I had this happened to me. He asked for my number and he started texting me. When I asked him if he would call me tomorrow, he texted me and told me he would let me know when he would call me but for now we would text only. I explained that I didn’t give him my phone number to text me because we could’ve just stayed on the site to continue to text one another. I gave him my phone number so he could call me and talk to me over the phone. He gave me some excuse about he was out of town and he didn’t have good reception to make phone calls where he was located. So I told him to call me when he does get good reception because I don’t like to text. He thought he would continue to text me and I guess he got the hint when he was left on read… I absolutely love this video and so glad to know I handled the situation right… Because I have had men tell me my standards are to high or a little rigid and I need to lower them because it is not all about me and be less aggressive . But I found that it has helped me to pick out the weeds in my garden and not waste my time… Again Thanks Kev, Great Video❤️

If only I had listened to a video like this before I went through a very difficult lesson. After my long relationship ended, I naively went to a dating site and there I met a wolf in sheep's clothing who gave me a bunch of false promises and dragged me for too long with texts. Now I deleted dating site and put myself in hermit mode. Very disapointed with all that. Anyway thanx for your message it will help many woman not to put themselves in the texting trap.

Wow its exhausting being a women. We have to be so guarded, cautious, on our game and all sorts just to have the basic respect afforded to us that should be a given. Then we have to police and enforce contraception. And when that fails, largely bring up the kids, keep the home. It's fucking tiring always having to be the adult in the room. Surely we should live in a world already where men respect women as fellow human beings off the bat and who's mothers and father's have taught them how to behave? Good advice though. Sigh.

Preach!!! I met a guy this past Sunday and he stated “I’ll text you” to which I replied I don’t do text and explained in detail I prefer call. Needless to say within 48 hours he got deleted. This is a grown man in 40 age range bracket and he couldn’t get past the basic 101. Some of them are pathetic out here. Thank you Kev. Would you consider making a video about your thoughts on saying no to men asking for your phone number? Just this weekend I ended up giving my number to a very persistent guy who I really didn't want to have any further access to me. I was mad at myself after & had an even longer similar conversation when he called explaining that I just wasn't interested in dating right now & him trying to change my mind & asking all kinds of questions to try to keep me talking. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but it seems like some men pick up on that & become insistent. I see I'm not ready to date in part because of this "nice-girl" syndrome. If I suck at turning down phone number requests from a strangers, I'm concerned about all the other NOs I will need to say in dating. Thanks again!

Use an anonymous phone number app or google number until you learn to stop being so conflict avoidant. That way when the line rings you know it’s some guy you don’t want to talk to and just never answer the phone

Why would a grown man want to sit and text all day? And on top of that, it’s mainly nothing but “ how was your day?” “ Good morning beautiful “ or “ I hope you have a great day.” Nothing of substance, just generic things. Do men think when they message these things? A lot of people use the excuse “ I don’t like talking on the phone “ or those avoidant generic excuses- BYE. We don’t have time. As a woman who’s been intentionally celibate for the past 3 years…I really wish more women would be selective about who and when they gave their bodies and wombs (pregnancy/babies). @El Sol Nothing wrong with a coffee date. A coffee date is actually a good 1st date imo. It supposed to be casual, no pressure...just getting to know a person. You don't need a a big fancy dinner date to get to know a person ma. Maybe to impress...yeah. But if the goal is to get to know each other...I think a coffee date is fine imo.

I disagree. I think a coffee date is low effort. You can go out to lunch/brunch/dinner and it doesn’t have to be somewhere fancy or expensive. It doesn’t have to last 5 hours. It can be an hour or two. Having coffee afterwards is fine, but a coffee date isn’t a real date to me. If you’re both concerned about what the other looks like in real life vs. photos then a quick FaceTime call will help.

I used to only go on dinner dates & got tired of wasting my evening & being held hostage by men who I had no connection with or someone who totally misrepresented themselves online. Now during the 1st meetup over coffee, I have no problem leaving after 10 minutes if I see any red flags or if they misrepresented themselves. My time is too valuable to waste. If we hit off during our coffee date then we can plan a second date such as dinner.

Reason I’m breaking up with my ldr fiance. He would only call/videocall a few days or weeks after we saw each other and then would stop and only want to text. The last message I sent him a week ago I told him “the next time you really want to talk to me call me because I won’t be answering your texts anymore. We’re supposed to be getting married soon and you want this relationship to succeed on text messages only being that we are in long distance?” It’s been a week and still no call. And a few minutes ago he texted me all dramatically that that was the last time I’ll ever “hear” from him boy bye 🤣

They know how to get to your heart but when it comes to my heart I have respect for myself so it is time for me to let them go I rather be safe than sorry. I don't want to be caught up in somebody's sex traffic. You just don't know who's real or fake. When a person is taking too long to communicate with me I think they are not who I think they are. Im in the online dating scene and today a guy asked me for my number . I said let’s continue speaking through here. I’m intrigued to see what his response will be to this. I was on the fence at first because dm response/ conversations take a long time but I also wanted to know how he would react to challenges and boundaries. That’s a good idea. I’ve done this to test men too, and one guy wanted to meet up right away without any texting or even a phone call. I asked can we talk on the phone first for a bit and go from there? He blocked me. 🙄🥴

I met a man that would do that, phone calls no texting but as I got to know him thru conversation all he wanted was sex situationship so ladies don't ignore your intuition that's a lesson I learned so not all men that call have good intentions

I love your videos. I love your authenticity, and I love your style. Yes, some men will pull that text messaging for my experience on multiple occasions. It’s usually because he’s not serious. He wants 😮texting or phone sex or married. He’s just trying to play with you. As long as you say it with kindness, love and dignity, how he interpreted is not your responsibility. No matter where the guy contacts me whether it’s on a dating app or on social media, he’ll message me I say I immediately need to see your face for me. That’s a nonnegotiable, and I see it with love and kindness and respect to the gentleman. I believe when you said your standards, men either step up to the plate or they run there’s no gray area Once you set your standards, if he runs that told you everything you need to know good job for not folding and caving into your standards!!!

I respect your honesty. On the way you break things down. It’s very respectful, very straight to the point and very matter of fact, sometimes the stuff you say personally hurts me hurts my feelings, but that’s just because it’s true and sometimes the truth hurts. But you open my eyes. I just turned 37 years old on Halloween yesterday, and this last two weeks I’ve discovered you you have opened my eyes. I was strictly mind blown because there has been a few relationships in my past past where I was extremely hurt, and as I reflect on it, I feel like now I victimize myself, which isn’t a bad thing because when you know better you can do better so I appreciate you but damn how do you become so knowledgeable on this? I just did this standard last week on a dating site. Before I gave the guy my number advices do not text nor ft me call on my profile and in message and he called but told me since I have been messaging him in the dating app then it shld be fine to text is phone. Blocked for being deceitful
