its scary to think what a healthy (both physically and mentally) Marner can do in a full 82 games. Marner month by month: Oct: 1-2-3 in 9 games Nov: 5-11-16 in 14 games Dec: 0-2-2 in 1 game Jan: 6-6-12 in 8 games Feb: 9-14-23 in 12 games Mar: 7-16-23 in 14 games Apr: 7-11-18 in 14 games Marner 1st 2 months = 6-13-19 in 23 games Marner next 5 months = 29-49-78 in 49 games 1st 2 months proj. 82 games = 21-46-67 Next 5 months proj. 82 games = 49-82-131

7:02 I always thought that the pinnacle of skillful ability for a hockey player who considers his/herself a “playmaker”, with a “pass” mentality, is to be able to place the puck on your teammates stick in a situation where he/she has a wide open net before them, and an unnecessary quantity of time to deposit it therein. Watching this set up by #16 in slow motion, it’s still difficult to understand how he’s able to achieve the 360 degree awareness required to make this play.
