Mitch, in regards to carrying stones (and other oddities) you bring an interesting and unique perspective because you’ve come to the sport from a general athletic/sporting background and have chosen it (from what you’ve said) mostly because you are good at it and it dovetails with your personal and professional ambitions. A lot of fans and organizers, and some athletes, come to it more from the side of “physical culture” or “strength culture”. And the place Strongman occupies in that subculture is as much about spectacle as it is sport. Recreating traditional and/or legendary feats of strength is a part of the game not because they are objectively good tests for determining the best strongman but because they connect us the the pre-sporting history of strength feats (and look cool of course).

Rogue should be close, hard to call. Swithering between Martins and Mitch With a bit of time to WSM and the improvements coming thick and fast, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Mitch takes the next WSM. I didn't think it was possible in this age for someone to come out of nowhere and do so well.
