It get a little complicated when you trying to see if a car stereo have enough juice for you speaker. You would have to consider what kind of speakers you have or playing to get. You will have to consider what the ohm, watts, and RMS of the speakers. Then you will have to find a stereo that meets the spec of the speakers.

The size speaker for both front and rear are 6 1/2" in the shop manual. It turn out that the 6 1/2" speakers were slight too small for the Mitsubishi Lancer 2003. I bought two pair of car speaker spacer adapters to make the speaker work on the vehicle.

The repair manual said you would need speakers size 6 1/2". I discover the speaker size6 1/2" is slightly too small and end up buying a spacer adaptors to make it work.
