Nathan, will there ever be a time where we can use the UC1 to control the on board effects of the Mixbus daw? Since it is using the 9000j? That would be amazing if that happened..

I use softube controllers. I wouldn't mind just just to opt out of the DAW EQ altogether. I'm not big on using a mouse.

Is the SSL 9K EQ algorithm exactly the same as the SSL Native, or is this a New algo beyond the few in the SSL 360 ecosystem? Also, is there a CPU benefit to using the inbuilt 32C or 9K EQs as opposed to thier plugin counterparts?

Its a faster workflow using it in the channel strip. Algo should be the same as their other DSP processing. Turn the knobs and find cool sounds in your mix.

Hi Nathan. Thanks for this video. Will Mixbus Pro run smooth on iMac i5 Ventura 32GB RAM? I remember there was an issue with the graphics on Sonoma in the past.

There is an option in Preferences to turn off Apple rendering.

Old Mixbus is gone and Mixbus32c has been replaced with just one DAW called Mixbus. You have the option of 3 different tiers to get the features you want.

Hi Nathan. Amazing product I found a touch of a difference between the sound quality of V8 to v9. Couldn’t find much of a difference between v7 and 8 sound wise. Is there a improvement between v9 and 10, besides the new j9000 and the Dolby-binaural? Meaning, the TAME engine and the 32C eq’s have been improved? Pd: I don’t mean there’s a need for improvement in any ways, don’t misread me, it’s AMAZING

Wa gwaaan mister nathan one love i would apprecilove if harrison mixbuss could make the Daw more cpu friendly to be more efficient for all os and pc users i feel that would be a reallll upgrade ,as reaper for me is the Boss in this area and much more ,but i still use mix buss

CPU is relative to the processing. Reaper doesn't have any processing under the hood so its not a apples to apples comparison. Most sessions should stay around 20-30% with a buffer size of 1024. Lower buffer sizes can cause higher CPU. -Nathan

MIDI is edited in the channel itself. Click on a MIDI region then hit the Z key to make it full screen. Then hit Shift+Z to go back to previous zoom state. Click on A in the track header and then choose Velocity to edit with lollipops. -Nathan

If I have UF8s...will selecting the 9k EQ automatically come up in the UF, or do I still need to use the plugin? What level of control can I expect between the Mixbus and UF series?

There is! I had mixbus 9 and logged into my account on their site, added mixbus 10 plus and an automatic discount was applied.

In the different tier offered is it possible to not see the missing option like "immersive" ssl9000k etc or its just obviously greyed out. Cause i would wanna use it without the plugins xt or immersive or ssl9000k being in my way, thanks for you response. Best regard

If you have the lower tier then Immersive and SSL EQ will not be selectable.

If you have the lower tier you won't be able to turn on Immersive at all.

I wonder how this e.q. looks like on my Behringer X-touch. How is it mapped? V9.2 was pretty incomplete...

As usual with Harrison all instructions are geared for the higher end DAW. There are very little, if any, instructions for the cheaper Mixbus. What can we poor saps, who cannot afford the two higher priced DAWs get and do with the cheapest version? Is it worth us upgrading to the cheapest DAW or stick with version 9?

If you owned Mixbus in the past then the $29 upgrade is the same for you. This lower tier upgrades you to the 32c EQ and 12 total busses. Plus and Pro tiers are higher. -Nathan

@@ServingMyJesusno it would be basic mixbus 10 (whatever the name is now) but it will include the 32c eq on the board now and 12 busses. Solid deal for $29. If you want more than that then you have to pay for more than that. They are trying to run a business and businesses need to make money.

Thank you for the video. But instead of selling your product and praising it so much, you completely forgot to report on what the end result is. Does your Mix Bus 10 plug-in then calculate a Dolby 7.1 or 5.1 mix? Or how do you set it up? Does it also work on Cubase 13? If your plug-in really manages to render a 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby mix, then we'll buy it straight away, because that's all that filmmakers and small production studios urgently need. Because your plug-ins and presets are always only intended for drums and percussionists and generally for old-fashioned stereo products. You don't do anything at all for documentary or feature film producers. So I want to know now whether your Mix Bus 10 Pro is capable of creating and rendering an official Dolby mix, otherwise there's no point in buying it from you and the money would be wasted. Hi Jazz, Mixbus is not a plugin....its a DAW and can process Dolby Atmos natively. Feel free to download a demo and play around with it.
