1 The note was that range 2 the older versions are cheaper 3 1k is "more affordable." 4 They mean over time, not over night. 5 they are working on making it appealing to the masses, it will not be affordable until people are buying them.

I remember in the early 90's i had a pair of nice Sony wired (obvs) earbuds... When they died i cut the cables off and kept the buds, and put them in my ears and imagined how crazy it would be if they worked wirelessly, and remember looking at the size of them and thinking how impossible that would be... fast forward 30 or so years, I still remember that when I use my AirPods.

Same here impressed with the flip5, only thing I noticed was the screen protector film started creasing after 5months in of heavy use. Not a huge deal though.

Koreans really love the foldable form factor. I visited the country and everyone is literally holding folding phones. I think it plays into the ecosystem too. You can use your phone to pay for public transportation. So having a “smaller” phone to take out to scan is more convenient. I personally don’t get it but I see why people like it.

In the uk, the prices of the z flip 5 and 6 are the same - £1049. But right now, they're offering a 10% discount on the z flip 6. So the price didn't change. The only thing is the trade ins arent the best here. So its not worth it to upgrade, unless you dont have a flagship phone from the last 5 years like me. Its easy to find the flip phone interesting.

I've noticed that unlike Apple, Samsung's media embargo ends when the presentation starts, so yeah, you'll start to see reviews then. Also unlike Apple who keeps their site focused on the event, Samsung starts updating the website as the presentation is going on so between the two, you'll usually find out what they are going to present.

I honestly just traded in for the Flip 6 because I've never had a flip smartphone but had one of those ridiculously tiny pill flip phones where you gotta tap the key 3 tines to get the letter you want when texting. I just did it because the folded size should be easier for me to work with at work when in pocket and more for the nostalgia factor of just having a flip phone.

The s24 is also way too fat in the hand imo. The main reason people get the fold is the ability to have a mini tablet sized screen on demand when needed and a slimmer profile for quick use. My hands arent small but holding the s24 feels cumbersome when trying to use one hand

@@3Oh3metrostation it's pretty good I honestly drop it too much and have the spen case without the hinge protection. The only issue I have had is I dropped it from about 5 feet and it landed with the inside screen directly on gravel. This left a small pin hole in the screen. But the Samsung care was great and got it fixed in about a day.

That looking at plans thing is worth it just for that. I use an iPhone 7 (just because) and that small a screen is fine for just myself viewing plans on the fly, but at least half a dozen times a day I have to refer to details showing guys details of what needs to be done. Pocket sized but tablet display is compelling.

I ring has a feature that when you set the alarm on phone the ring vibrates to wake you up rather than making a noise it would be so handy for people with partners and work on different shifts

Might have to do with the fact 50% of all dollars in existence were printed in the past 4 years. Dollar dilution should be expected. I have the z fold 5 it's been such a good phone. I take it to work every day and I'm a blaster and it's never skipped a beat.

I wouldn’t have said that, people decades ago had said there’s no way you need more than 2mb of RAM. There is always room for significant advancement in electronics.
