It's perfectly believable in this game and during the year it came out. Kenshi was more like Daredevil with a sword in the early days. Now, he has all sorts of mystical powers from mind possession to telekinesis to flying and other weird powers. But back then, he was a blind guy with a sword, essentially.

I adore this intro. People usually under-estimate this game. MK Armageddon is still my favorite mk game: phenomenal intro, huge amount of fighters and arenas, interesting Konquest mode with Taven, intriguing Kreate-A-Fighter mode, amazing Motor Kombats, beautiful soundtrack, lovely Air combos

It honestly didn't make much sense to me, because Rayden, Quan chi, and Shand Tsung unleashed all of their power and couldn't even scratch Onaga. Which makes you wonder how Shao Khan could have survived, let alone beat Onaga.

This intro brings back memories of when MK lore was in a golden period. My favorite moments imo that really drew my attention were Onaga taking Shao Kahn away and Zombie Liu Kang returning to exact vengeance on Shang Tsung.

I remember watching this intro for first time, I was pretty shocked and devastated at the undead Liu Kang because he’s my favourite character and before this game I was on a hiatus from MK games and the last one I played was MK4. It wasn’t until i finally played MK Deadly alliance and MK Deception did I find out how it happened.

Mortal Kombat Deception konquest - "Yes, the island where Shang Tsung holds his tournament is located in the Lost Sea. I do not recommend you visit anytime soon." Shujinko and Kenshi also pondered about getting their revenge against Shang Tsung. Ironically, both were killed by the Deadly Alliance.

It would have also made more sense that Shujinko vs. Hotaru happens in the intro too. If there was Sub-Zero vs. Scorpion Ashra vs. Noob Cage vs. Kano Jade vs. Tanya Kenshi vs. Mavado Shinnok vs. Rayden Liú Kāng vs. Shang Tsung Why not Shujinko vs. Hotaru?

Seeing Zombie Liu Kang for the first time was crazy as a kid. My brother and I lost our minds seeing my boy come back, even if not really him (alt costume fixed that). It would only be years after playing Armageddon that I'd find out Liu Kang was playable in Deception if you did a task in Konquest mode. I believe it's post game in EarthRealm on a Tuesday at some crazy early time. It unlocks Liu Kang as a master for Shujinko and makes Liu Kang playable.

Mortal Kombat Deception is the best for having an open world conquest Mortal Kombat Armageddon is the best for its intro and gameplay, though were they to do a remake I wish all non canon characters, mentioned ones, minor ones - (like Zeffeero Asgaarth Grum Hornbuckle black guy whom Liú Kāng fought in the tournament Fortran (mentioned from one of the books - MK's version of Spider-Man) N26 - the founder of Cyber ninjas and servant of Shao Kahn - again mentioned in the books) Freezer aka Lisa Liang who is Sub-Zero's sister Sonya's partners killed by Kano Connor who is Kano's sadistic Scottish-Australian son Empress Kreeya Zebron Hydro Taja Cole Young Siro Goro's brother Lucifer Baphomet the girl whom Rayden met in the asylum Lori (Kōng Lǎo's girlfriend) Karasu Toisarus (a Byzantine combatant mentioned in one of the MK books) Pod Lazek Bran & Gohsk Terrafaux Red Robin are included. Each character should have his/her own fatality. Other arenas should be added in - Lower Mines, House of Pekara, Bank, the Pit, Seido, Realm of Chaos, Spider Arena, slums in Cambodia, Shujinko's village, Lung Hai Temple, Dragon King's temple, Sun Do, Léi Chén, Cage Mansion, Elder God's Arena, Ice Pit, Slaughterhouse, Noob Saibot's Dorfen, Courtyard, Flesh Pits, Star Bridge, Nexus, Sarna Ruins, Golden Desert, etc...
