lmao this happened in a game after the Nats were eliminated from playoff contention.... the same year Harper won the MVP. The man had every right to get frustrated and not run out one popup with like 4 games left in the season. He worked his ass off all summer and his teammates underperformed. Not to mention Pap went out there the next inning and gave up 5 runs. Being a Red Sox fan, I loved Pap as a player. But man was he a dick.

That's definitely not the fault of the cameraman, that's the fault of the producer in the truck that dictates what gets shown on our screen at the moment, virtually everything on the field gets shown on camera. I'm sure the network did something about that producer who thought it was more ideal showing pitch sequence as opposed to showing the action going on in the dugout which could have been directed to immediately

Papi, you had a 3-0 count and you struck out...it’s not the umpire’s fault.

Pap deserved a shot to the face for that one. Didn't they give Ortiz that phone on a plaque when he retired?

+Grant Yeah, it was during his final year when every team gave him a gift that had a connection to their team. I know the Twins gave him a jar of David Ortiz edition peanut butter from a company in Minnesota because I was there. I think it was because of a prank they pulled on him when he played for the Twins (I believe they put it in his pants and made it look like he shit himself...)

Yup. Tori Hunter specifically was the one to pull that on him. In fact, he put it in Ortiz's underwear and he didn't notice until after he put the underwear on that there was peanut butter in it.
