Wife and I were at that Ranger’s game when that thunder slammed. Kids were crying, people were screaming and running. I’ve never been next to bomb explosion before, but for a few seconds we all thought we had.

@@Bane-kr6pb it was a thunder crack but with zero warning, clear skies and all. And had to have been right above the stadium because it reverberated off the stands and was just insanely loud and instant.

this was way worse than a terrorist attack. it was a spectacle of police officials dressed as military demonstrating to the audience how fun they are while pointing guns at the audience, or a really dumb military commander who thought doing this on home turf is a terrific idea.

Same exact thing happened in the summer of '95 when I turned 12 and playing in the regional championship game in a Little League tournament against Tom's River NJ. We lost that game, and they went on to win the LLWS that year. Lol. But yeah, in the middle of that game, we were leading 3-2. A.totally rogue lightning bolt blew a chimney off a house across the street. And. HOLY. SHIT! We.all.thought it was an explosion. (Well, every lightning strike.technically IS an explosion.) But being that close to one. Especially on a clear sunny day. Ill never forget that. Everyone on the field fell to the ground, and a couple people fell off the bleachers. Everyone went scattering in random ass directions. Parents left their kids haha. Never experienced anything like it before or since. We went on to lose against the LLWS champs later thay game. Haha.

The first one at Globe Life park in Arlington I was there I worked for the stadium for 4 and half years, every game I worked. If anyone has ever been there(old stadium now) we had baseballs around the 3rd story concourse and from what I heard from fans and employees it the lightning had struck one of them. I was working on the first story atm the time, but it rocked that stadium, It was a flute bolt too, sky was clear no rain nothing.

I was sitting along the third base line at that Rangers game in Arlington. Lightning struck something in the parking lot behind the third base seating. Funny thing is, there were a couple of Minnesota players running towards the Rangers dugout. Loudest pop of thunder I've ever heard, and the players reactions show that they were scared hahaha.

The NBC Game of the Week between the Reds and Giants at Riverfront Stadium on April 17, 1976 was delayed for about 35 minutes by a swarm of bees that invaded the stadium, and a few bees were still flying around during the game. Just about everyone fled to the concourse during the delay, but a few thousand were still seated, vainly trying to swat them away, making for amusing viewing. It would be great if you could find that footage

They probably just had him shut it off. For those of you that don't know, most bicyclists that ride at night and use a light will put it on strobe like that to draw more attention. The one I have it is easy to accidentally turn on like this. This guy probably goes out at night enough to use this setting.

It was a basic maneuvers demonstration. That is the basic way they move out from their position and form a ring covering either another person or object or themselves. It was a first pitch, but definitely not a weird delay.
